Is anybody watching this? I thought Dave Chapelle was the host, so that is the only reason I planned to watch. Well, 45 minutes into the show and still no sign of him. This is such crap. Get Hoobastank and thier sh!@%$ song off of my tv
Yeah, I wasn't sure if I'm just getting older or this is really as ridiculous as I think it is. God, it's horrible. Just a chance for MTV to jerk it's own chain.
There is no host this year; it's different people. At least 8 of my friends and dormmates I know are there. Not like I really wanted to go. Someone down the hall from me was taking shots with Missy Elliott and Jadakiss the other night. South Beach is going to be nuts tonight and I might head out there in a couple hours. Chapelle had a one night only stand-up on Friday that I had no idea about and a couple of guys I know went; I would've gone. Man, Miami is great, except for the hurricanes. The real hurricanes. I wonder if UM v. FSU is in jeopardy if Frances disrupts anything. Chances are I'll stay here in the dorms since they're steel and concrete, even if it's a Cat5...and it will be.
No Chapelle, and this show is laughably boring. The Jet/Hoobastank/Yellowcard circle jerk was painfully gay. The best part of the whole show was seeing the slimmer Shaq.
Wow, I thought i was just getting old... Apparently the fact that I stopped watching it years ago must reflect more on its piss poor quality.
Ditto; up until a few years ago i loved watching the VMA's. Now, its become a joke, just like everything else on MTV.
I enjoyed Nelly and Christina's performance though. Everything else is pretty much trash. I really dislike these live hip-pop performances.
After seeing them, I'm in agreeance, as Fred Durst would say. It shouldn't be allowed for a band to be both intensely boring as well as creepy.
Well, it's official. Rock is dead. Remember when MTV used to be cool? How depressing... I'm switching back to VH1 Classic.
