bring it on! i relish the opportunity to debate Bush's policies and contrast them with the (in)action of his political opponents.

I think we should put Bush, Cheney and Rumsfield on trial for high crimes against the Constitution. Rummy saw it coming and resigned. Now it is time to get rid of Bush and Cheney, two years is too long to wait.

We should have a better system. I don't have the answer, but there should be a non-political way to investigate potential crimes by politicians by someone other than politicians or those appointed by politicians. I think Bush should be investigated, because some of the things he's done definitely look illegal on the surface. But the only good that can come out of an impeachment is no legislation.

if it can proven without a doubt that he has lied under oath then try him for perjury

I hope Pelosi has the bottomline more in mind. It is fine that W gets anally probed over the NSA warrantless spying, but the end goal must be that the spying stops now. If W does not stop, I strongly suspect that Pelosi will lead the impeachment charge.

Repeat after me: Impeachment ain't gonna happen. There are at best 15 months before the Presidential race begins in earnest. Not enough time to do the investigation and lay the legal framework.

Besides, Bush is more valuable in office for the '08 races then he is being a martyr for the right wing.

I'm the biggest bush basher here and I've called for Bush's head on tons of occasions and I believe that he has committed war crimes and committed treason but...

If I've taken anything away from this election, I agree with Webb, it's time to start working for America and move past doing what is best for party and start doing what is best for America. Our country is bleeding and crying for help. And impeaching Bush will do nothing but bog down congress and piss people off. Congress needs to start doing what it takes to heal a sorely divided country.

And democrats have an election to win in 08.

    I'm out!

Heading up to the country, baby you wanna go?!

We have much more important things to worry about right now than the distraction of an impeachment.

I think the actions justify impeachment but I don't think he should be impeached. I actually like the position we are in now of checks and balances, but I'd rather have the Dems work with the pubs to reach a compromise instead of going back to bickering.

I DO NOT want the Democrats to resort to being petty 90's republicans whom eventually led to the downfall of the party leading it to get hijacked by religious whackjobs and neoconservatives.

87% is pretty amazing. and this isnt a poll of just 1,000 people either - at the time of my vote it was 357,184.

the american people have spoken too loudly to be ignored - too bad the democrats are more concerned about setting the table for '08 than doing the right thing.

Hopefully Bush will now move back to the center as he was suppose to before 9/11. It seems that this election was a rebuke of the neocons who have been in power (Cheney/Rumsfield) who lobbied for the war over Powell (rice just picked the winning side).

So now Cheney will be muted - hopefully never to speak another word again - or at least for not a long time. The new Secretary of Defense hates Cheney, and Cheney insisted that Gates not be appointed to the position.

Return to normalcy - they "War of Terror" is over....now we can begin actually fighting terrorism by addressing the problem instead of pouring gasoline on it.

Divided government - oh how I love to see it!

No doubt, and I hope the Democrats don't waste this gift they have been given by going after Bush.

They need to focus on 2008.....

Funny how our country works, the 50s and the McCarthism scare was followed up by the free love of the 60s......ladies and gentleman, dust off your rubbers, it is time for some FREE LOVE BABY !!

Power to the people! If the people want impeachment, the Democrats should listen and serve their constituency.
