Anyone else doing this? I'm looking forward to it, last year was my first year but doesn't really count since they canceled the first day. As of right now there is rain in the forecast but the winds will be favorable coming from the SE. <object width="500" height="405"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ivY7Y_s8EZ4&hl=en_US&fs=1&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ivY7Y_s8EZ4&hl=en_US&fs=1&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="405"></embed></object> Great way to stay in shape.
Did it last year. Both legs, despite the cancellation. Was planning on doing it this year, but I sold my bike and haven't had a chance to pick up a new one yet. A lot of my longtime rider friends are losing interest in it because of how strict they've gotten (no more family, costumes, etc.) To all the riders, be safe and have fun.
I'll be out there again. We're overdue for good conditions. All 3 TX rides last year lost a day to megastorms.
My sister-in-law works in the marketing dept for the Lone Star MS Society and these races are her babies. Last year was an absolute clusterf*** for her. My brother rides for the St. Arnold's team. I look forward to the free kegs of Amber and Lawnmower at the finish...
I have a friend that's doing it. She's been training every weekend the past few months. She's raised about a $1k too.
Sounds like someone I know. What are her initials. Really, its the $1k that makes it the possibility.
Not riding with a specific team this year, just with an independent group. I'm planning on riding with Continental Airlines next year. If you would like to help out, please click HERE
I saw the V and was like wow, but the G doesn't jive so guess it isn't a match. Maybe they all dedicate their weekends to training and raise $1k.
First time rider this year....kinda excited and worried at the same time. Question for you veterans: Im not riding with a sponsored team, just with a couple of friends....will there be tents already set up for us in La Grange, or do we have to bring our own tents?
Everyone makes it seem like its hard to do but women do it. So shouldn't I be able to wake up drunk, drag myself onto a bike, slam some beers, and make the trip fine with no practice or training? I mean girls do it. Girls.
the first time I did it I got drunk the night before, had no training and smoked a cigarette at every rest stop. Didn't walk a foot of it either. But I wouldn't recommend doing it this way
Love the clip, classic. (But if I have to hear a girl at work here quote that line ONE more time... Or better way to say it, if i had a dime for every time she says that phrase...) I'm waiting for the double "Its a great way to stay in shape. Thats what she said..."
