    The 70's were awesome.

Mr Microphone is still around today...it's called KARAOKE. So your point is mute.

    The 70s rule! I wasn't alive either, but I've got a lot of 70s stuff. A 70s car . . . a 70s stereo . . .

The 70s were the golden age of audio equipment for home users -- many of the greatest tuners, receivers, amps and speakers were from the 70s -- companies like Sansui, Marantz, Pioneer, etc. They're all still around, but the new stuff isn't NEARLY as good as the 70s equipment.

    And Disco kicks ass!

...that should be cause for an instant BBS ban right there :)

The only three good things came out of the 70's were Maureen McCormick, The Eagles, and Led Zeppelin

Viva 70's and, especially, Mr. Microphone.

One of the greatest, cheeziest commercials ever:

Scene: two guys with feathered hair cruisin' in mom's staionwagon
they see a babe strolling up the sidewalk...

"Hey, good lookin'....be back to pick you up later"

All with Mr. Microphone's amazing power!

It was a poor mans karaoke. It was a radio that came with a microphone that let you hear your own voice while the song played.

what about those microphones with an antenna on the end, that if you pointed it at any plain old radio (tuned to a nonexistant station), you could hear your voice on the radio! i had a michael jackson version of the microphone (had that famous picture of him with the jhericurl (sp?) and laying on his side w/ a microphone... come on, everyone knows the one i'm talking about, i think it's from an album cover)...

now THAT thing was cool! :D

Didn't we discuss this here once? The word is 'moot'.

Sorry to be such a ball buster.
