OK, there's going to be tons of people posting direct messages to Mr. Artest in the chance that he will read them, so I promise to keep mine to a few this year.

Mr. Artest, there is no way you should have received that technical. It was completely uncalled for and only given to you based on your reputation. I would strongly recommend contacting the league office to have this rescinded- you want your technicals to be ones where the refs gave you a legitimate reason or you are directly provoked, not when you are obviously trying to be the peacemaker.

Thank you for your hard work this evening- you are a breath of fresh air for us fans. Warier!

You're alright. It was a travesty. Artest was trying to separate yao from howard. He was just trying to be defuse any possible situation and the ref call a tech on HIM??? If anything, they should also call Howard for having that threatening expression when ron came down.

seriously, the team should help ron ron by submitting a protest to the league office. that t should be rescinded. it was so ridiculous that even a mavs fan would agree it should be recalled by the league.

If NBA rescinds that technical as it should, then the league regains my respect that was lost from unfair officiating against Yao and the Donaghy scandal.

Can someone describe in detail what happened with Ron, Yao and Howard?

I remember a few years ago when we lost to Dallas in 7 that Howard would try some thug s*it and intimidate Yao. Did he try that garbage again?

Ron was rob by the refs with that lame call. Howard should have received a T for his actions.

I bet they do send a complaint to the league, because all people will see is Artest getting a T right now, when he obviously was doing something good. I liked how Yao needed to be separated! Good stuff, Yao!

    That was Ron gaining respect.

Howard was out of line and he needed to be put in check.

Ron restored order out there and that technical should have gone to Josh Howard if anyone for trying to take Yao's head off.

Ron was just looking out for his boy.

Yao had the ball in the paint (kind of traveled LOL), Howard fouled him and elbowed him, Yao shoulder bumped Howard, Artest came running in to get Yao, Howard, Kidd and other Mavs were in the way and Artest tried to get through the Mavs

Howard kind of pushed Artest and then went over to Yao to separate him from the Mavs...if anything Howard should of gotten that T

I actually thought they were going to give Yao the T because of the shoulder bump

Artest just got the T because he's Artest...Reggie Miller said it right

Ron is a leader that we missed since Bobby Sura. You can't have a team fully of choir boys.

Yes and Yao wouldn't have none of it. Artest was trying to keep the situation from escalating but was called for a bs T.

I totally thought that tech was bogus, BUT

we gotta remember Ron is an instigator, he can't help but get into the middle of things, it's in his basketball DNA. Ron does not like being bored.

He'll do crazy things like Rodman did back in the day, like instigate things and make things worse then make it look like he's the peacemaker :D

I'm glad we got Ron, our psychological toughness doubled when he joined our team.

Honestly... If he appeals it. I am 90% sure Stern will throw out the technical. He is a reasonable guy who probably wants reward Artest for his good behavior since the incident.

i got no problem with T, ref will know they make the mistake, and next time they will think twice, that is how ron gets this reputation back if he really wants to.

the good thing about this T, that shows relatioship between ron and yao, not bad since yao makes the commands about new coming ron early.

Yes, that's what we were missing. An enforcer. Ron has the edge that we had back when Bobby Sura was here.

Mark Cuban bribed these gambling corrupt NBA referees. What's new.

RonRon needs to appeal! That T should have been given to that ugly Josh dumb prick Howard, who thinks he's black and doesn't celebrate the national anthem. What a douche bag!
