I thought about buying an iPod and running rockbox to play .ogg files but slapped myself back into sane reality. I just picked up this new player from Cowon the iaudio 6 nice little .85" HDD player that has fm tuner, BBE SOUND, Videos, supports MP3, FLAC, WMA, WMV, and the most important OGG! What are you guys using to listen to muzak?
iPod 1st generation 20Gb (17,000 MB), 3200 songs, mostly children's music. Use WinAmp at work and at home to listen to the same MP3s on the iPod.
I have an external hard drive that connects via USB. It travels with me, between home and work, and keep my music on it. It has something like 14,000 tracks on it. For portable I use my PSP, it has about a gig of stuff on it. I use my portable Mini-disc player when I tape stuff off the radio (mostly Astros games and Rockets Post-game), because I can plug it in to the radio and record 4 hours.
i've got a mac mini with an external 500 gig hard drive hooked to my linn amp in my 2-channel set-up. i've only got about 150 gigs of tunes on it now, so i have room to grow. i swap out playlists on my ipod nano for portable usage.
if you are talking to me, the mac is being used as a server, it's hooked up to my amp and my televison. a wireless keyboard and mouse are the "remote contols" to access my music collection.
I have the same thing but i have a blue one... the down side of the player is that you have to use the proprietary sonicstage software... but it looks nifty
damn UTWeezer. i'm jealous i use the iaudio g3 1 gig. i love it and it even has the perfect form-over-function, nerdy engineer look! girls in gym dont even look in my direction!
man i wish cowon iaudio would just market their products a little better... iguess their a bit short on advertising capital. their players are hands down better than most other players out there...
3G 15GB iPod for me with my new Altec Lansing inMotion IM716 headphones (after years of using Etymotic cans). I also have an iTrip, but I rarely use it, since I have XM in my car. My mom got a iPod Nano for Mother's Day. Damn that thing is small. I'm jealous! She also got the Klipsch iPod speaker thingy, and it sounds pretty damn good.
nice, which Linn do you have? are you running analog out from the mini, ie, from the headphone output? i'm assuming the Linn doesn't have a built in DAC, but you could get much better sound by taking a digital out from the mini (the itel models have SPDIF out, otherwise, use USB) into an external dac, then to the Linn.
I love it. I mean phone, mp3 player, and games all in one it doesn't get better than that. I've also recorded video of up to 15 minutes long and it was still going when I stopped it.
i have the linn majik, it's old and not that powerful but very lyrical and lively, love it. yes, i am currently running directly from the headphone out to the amp. i haven't gotten around to getting an external dac. i was gonna hook a small mixer up to the usb and connect from there, a cheaper alternative to a dac, to see how that worked first. since the linn is bi-ampable, i'm also gonna get an active subwoofer to add a little more meat.
White Creative Zen Micro 5GB I love this b****. nice and small, very stylish and great sound quality. Haven't had any problems, yet. FIrst time i dropped it last night off the top bunk bed in my dorm room. fell on carpet, but works, for now.
