The title pretty much says it all: I'd like suggestions/recommendations for movers. The cheaper, the better. I don't have a ton in the way of super-valuable stuff....mostly just furniture and boxes; the usual. Any of y'all move recently and like the guys you hired for the job? I'm in the Spring Branch area, off of I-10 and Bingle, if that matters. Thanks, as always. EDIT: I'm only taking my stuff to a storage place up the street for a few months. I HATE not having a freaking truck or not knowing anyone with a truck well enough to borrow. Moving sucks. ARGH. I feel like I'm rambling. I'm still hungover. whatever.
my family used a service they found in a chinese newspaper, only $700 to move from maryland to NYC, 2 bedroom+living room worth of stuff. nothing came in damaged, it was a very good deal. so i suggest checking the local paper.
I haven't moved in a few years, but twice I used Delancey Street Movers. They are a drug rehab program. They do moving and Christmas trees to provide work opportunities and to make money for themselves. They did a great job for me-- twice. They are out of San Francisco, so they might be in Houston if they made it all the way to NC.
