Well, ya'll might've noticed I haven't posted here much for a couple of weeks. I moved to Chicago last Thursday(Or maybe it was the Thursday before that) Anyways, we just came home for easter holidays and my dad says "lets pack" I was like um, ok. I couldn't even tell my friends I was leavin or nothin. Sucks don't it. I haven't had much of a chance to keep up with CC.net or the BBS or the rockets for that matter. I'm usin my uncles crappy 56k 13 hr free connection.......So anyways, anyone care to give me a quick update? Please? Just like in key notes? All the info I get nowadays in from the Chicago Tribune. This sucks. I didn't even get to watch the last Rox game. I haven't been able to watch one playoff game either.....Someone give me the 411 in a small quck recap with comments provided by others. ------------------ Note: It was my cowhead. Rockets got 3 picks in the draft. #13,18,23 ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
Here is what Clutch received from doc rocket, posted in the Rockets forum: Zone Defense The Rockets are still trying to decide how they want to approach zone defenses next season. Rudy wants to attack it. This apparently is holding up things in regards to who the Rockets want to focus on this offseason. In regards to Webber Whether the Rockets can get him or not I don't know. However the Rockets organization full on believes they can get him and will go full press. The Rockets are also considering scenarios that would keep Taylor on the squad in the event they get Webber. That's way jumping the gun, but they don't believe any succesful courtship of Webber, no matter how unlikely, ends Taylor's stay in Houston. The Draft I would think the Rockets are going to try and move up, but hey .... they try that every year. Not just a matter of "trying". Shane Battier out of Duke is VERY HIGH on the wish list simply because of his intangibles. Arizona's Richard Jefferson is as well. Also mentioned was the fact that Eddy Curry is being discussed but didn't know what that meant... he will go #1, or top 5 in worst case scenario, so he isn't likely. Our Own Guys Apparently Carlos Rogers will NOT be asked back. The Rockets are still REALLY looking to move CATO. Yeah, we have heard that before, but keep your fingers crossed Moochie Norris also is expected back. In regards to Hakeem Olajuwon and Shandon Anderson: (crickets chirping). Not good, not bad.... just all is quiet on that front. Optimism is very high about this offseason. ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams and Lisa Malosky fan club. atheistalliance.org
You couldn't tell your friends? Your dad didn't mention the witness protection program or anything like that, did he? ------------------ The sky is falling!
Chicago is a long way from Saudia Arabia. What happened? http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum7/HTML/002499.html Mango ------------------ Get it right or just don't do it! Resistance is futile....you will be assimilated.
Chicago's a really great city, especially in the summer. As you probably didn't know, I was living in Chicago until last summer. What part of Chicago are you living at? ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
Chicago is an awesome city. Probably one of, if not my fav city in the states. Its got all the entertainment and facilities of a large metropolis, yet has that certain mid-western warmth to it (unless you go near Comiskey, lol). I actually prefer it to NYC. Then again, I haven't been to the Windy City in the winter time before. What did happen to moving to Saudi Arabia, Rockets R 'Us? Funny, you went from going to the mid-east and ended up in the mid-west. Ok, not so funny. Azim da Dream ------------------ Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Watch out in the South Side of Chi-town... Whatever you do, don't root for Chicago teams, they all suck... ------------------ "Awesome baby!" Dick Vitale

Woo hoo. I'll be moving in 2 months and I'm not looking forward to it considering I just moved 1 year ago and now I'm moving right back to where I came from. ------------------ Yugo grills, Yugo mills, Check out the oil my Yugo spills...
Hey, so you left good ole Woods, huh? What did happen to moving to Saudi? I've actually been to Jeddah before...so that's why I'm asking. Actually I can't say I've been there...just my plane did a stopover there. Everything was the same color...even the buildings were like the color of the sand...really weird, but that's the desert for you, I guess. Good luck in Chi-town. ------------------ P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.
Well, be careful in the Southside (and the Westside) but don't avoid it. I think it a very worthwhile place to see. I lived in Hyde Park (the "oasis in the ghetto") which is a nice neighborhood, but there are others around that are really beautiful, despite being poor. As for Chicago teams, definitely don't root for them. ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
As you may have noticed, I had a little test up there. It's because sometimes this thing says im not even registered..........what are you trying to do Clutch, kick me off cuz I moved next to RoyD? Anyways, damn its windy as heck. I went from hoopin in 78 degree Houston weather to hoopin in 45 degree with 45 mph winds blowin. Man, its windy.........windy windy windy. I live in the NW burbs. Hoffman Estates/Schaumburg to be exact. I'll be starting at Conant High on Wednesday. I want to come back to the Woods in my senior year though. God all the Chicago teams suck.........except for the Sox and the Cubs, they're alright. Cubs are doin hella good this year too. Guess what? I was readin the Tribune and they were having fantasy rosters of what the Bulls might have if they make the right moves in the offseason......they had Marc Jackson, Wally Sczzerbeik (whatever), and Tim Hardaway. And get this......they said "In 2-3 yrs, Chicago will be back in the playoffs!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHa.............i cracked up. Well, if anyone wants to know, my dads workin for IPA/IBA in Buffalo Grove, another NW side suburb. I hear its a pretty big company, plus they had Bill Russell and Bob Dole the last 2 years at their Christmas dinners. This year they got Good ol' Bill Clinton. BTW, anyone know where Jordan lives? I heard its in the NW burbs of Chi-Town and I want my dads company to have him.Now that would be sweeeeet. My dads a senior area manager in the company so hopefully he can get that question to the big men sittin on top. Til later.......Go Rockets Offseason 2001. ------------------ Note: It was my cowhead. Jordan lives in Deerfield, I believe. Lots of the city's athletes live in Oak Brook or Deerfield. Listen very closely to what Juan said about the South and West sides. I may live on the north side, but I am from the South Side and it's a great place to be. I have tons of family still there, too. Stodgy honkies get scared because they see Good Times on tv and never go down there. There's Hyde Park, Beverly, Bridgeport, Pilsen, great neighborhoods with tons of history. Same goes for the West side - you ignore that, you miss out on Frank Lloyd Wright homes. Don't trust the Tribune. Period. ------------------ The KRUNKministrator
Deal didn't go down. I took a trip up to Deerfield/ Highland Park/Highwood are wich is basically north chicago suburbs. VERY BIG HOUSES. VERY BIG. As for the astros....haha...I moved at the right time..Cubs no.1 in the NL baby. ------------------ Note: It was my cowhead. My God, we already lost him. Soon he'll be telling us that Brand will lead the Bulls to the championship next season! ------------------ RealGM Gafford Art Artisan Cakes
My favorite town up there is Libertyville, hometown of Tom Morrello. ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
HEY HEY. LETS NOT GO THAT FAR, ITS NOT FUNNY. Nah I still support the Astros but it depresses me that everyday I open up the Chicago Tribune I see that the astros drop another spot in the rankings. Were like 3 games behind now and tied with STL. Cubs should lose steam though, their havin problems in CF and have put Damon Buford on the waivers......as for the bulls........hey hey stop laughing.....were thinking about trading artest..thats the news so far....I hate that guy. ------------------ Note: It was my cowhead.
