^^ "You got me. WHO GOT YOU?!?!?! " was probably the best line from the first one. How many Robin Hoods is that? How many "Christmas Carols" is that? Four each? I wonder what movie has the most "remakes." Please don't remake the SPOOFs... like Airplane! and Naked Gun. PLEASE.
Russel Brand redoing Dudley Moore's classic role is a travesty..... the things u get away with for banging Katy Perry
There's usually a very good one that's the exception and starts the trend. :cough::Batman reboots::cough::
I like remakes. If I like the original, why wouldn't I want to see an updated version? Or maybe the original doesn't interest someone and modern version is better suited. It doesn't have to be as good. I watch it for the nostalgia aspect. Plsu, I don't over analyze things like a lot of people. I learn to enjoy myself. I mean, its just a movie! It also gives a chance for the younger generation to relive what we did when we were young. I think its a good thing that some movies get remade. Its like paying homage. Everything comes full circle in life.
The last couple of King Arthur remakes have been pretty bad along with the Wyatt Earp / Showdown at the OK Corral remakes.
Just to add George Lucas should quit redoing the original Star Wars movies. His improvements have made things worse.
I loved the latest Robin Hood. I'm pretty sure that was not an actual remake of anything. I have never seen that take on the story
Robin Hood, King Arthur, A Christmas Carol are all classic stories that have been remade over and over again for a very long time, whether on film or otherwise. The movies they should stop remaking are the Hollywood creations that weren't as good as Hollywood apparently thinks they were.
For King Arthur the 1981 Excalibur. A great all around movie. Since I am a nerd I am biased towards the original Star Trek episode where they travel and aliens force them to reenact the showdown at the OK Corral.
