The Bourne Supremecy.... anyone else stoked for this film? I bought the Bourne Identity DVD, so I got a free ticket to the Bourne Supremecy. I'll definately be going this weekend! I think Matt Damon does a pretty good job, the original had some good action and I'm really looking forward to the sequel.
Looking forward to it. However there have been reports of people throwing up during the preview screenings because of the strobe-light editing style that Hollywood seems to be in love with these days.
I'm definitely looking forward to this. I liked the first one quiet a bit and this one looks like it is going to be really good. We may go see this tomorrow or Sunday.
I keep telling my wife that all they had to do was leave the guy alone, but they just couldn't do it, so now he is going to bring it to their doorstep. Damn, can't a brother get a little peace? Seriously, I definitely want to see this one.
I want to see this, because I absolutely loved the books, but, from what I've heard, the writers seemingly read the synopsis blurb on the back cover of the book, copied it, and made a totally different movie. I was pissed off that the Bourne Identity had little to do with the book. Such a great book, yet, they didn't follow it... AT ALL. So much great potential wasted. Looks like more of the same for the sequel, unfortunately. Then, when this movie does well, they'll film The Bourne Ultimatum, and not follow THAT book, either. ... Still, despite my frustrations, I AM looking forward to seeing this...
On the other hand, if the movies are good (and I think the first one was) then you get to have twice the number of stories. Just a positive spin - I haven't read the books, but everyone I know says they're awesome so I'm sure I will.
yeah it's the bourne identitiy only by title and basic concept but c'mon no carlos? that could have been a damn good plot. i have no idea what they'd do for the third one.
I saw it last week for the first time and really liked it. Definetly going to check the new one out now because of it.
I thought it was pretty dang good. Good car chase scenes, good fighting, good weapon/high tech stuff.... if you buy the DVD, make sure it's the one with the free ticket! It's pretty clearly marked on the case.
Got off work yesterday, bought the DVD for the free ticket (and a couple x-box games), and went and saw it with said ticket. It was great like it was supposed to be but I'll give the edge to the first one. My only complaint was that there seemed to be a tad too many car chases and not enough hand to hand. I'd say that it was like Kill Bill 2 where it covered more emotional stuff where the first one was more action.
I wanted to see this, but we had no idea that an hour before the movie, there'd be a line outside of the theatre for this. We didn't want to buy tix for a later show, but then we saw some other friends going into Napolean Dynamite and watched that. I hope to see it this weekend.
Is this the 1st time for the Supremacy I know Bourne Identity was a remake but i don;t know if they ever made the Bourne Supremacy back then Rocket River
There was a made for TV movie back in 1988, but no sequal was made. I went to see Supremecy today, I thought it was pretty good, but enjoyed the first one more. The Russian car chase scene was good, but a bit over the top. I too, expected more hand to hand combat and I enjoyed seeing Bourne get out of sticky situations. Given the chance, I would probably watch this movie again and I'll definitely purchase the DVD when it's released. If you enjoyed Identity, by all means, go see Supremecy. It's worth it.
I liked the movie it was really intense, but the camera shots were a little obnoxious. During a fight or car chase scene we would see very short choppy images. The editing for this film must have been a nightmare.
Just saw it, very awesome. Couldn't they get Moby to write a new song for this one? Spoiler* I was a little confused as to how assisinating that russian politician made it possible for that oil guy to make money, but just thinking about it for a second, it came back to me that on one of the news articles Bourne read on the internet, it said he was against privitizing oil. So now, I have no complaints, I thought it was an excellent movie.
