With Hollywood remaking everything these days from black and white classics like Psycho and King Kong to 80s horror like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street to movies that were released in the 2000s but remade over again (Hulk).

I'm not sure there is anything that Hollywood won't remake to make a quick dollar or millions. Are there any movies that you think will never be remade? If not, how about movies that shouldn't or should have been left alone?

    The Song of the South.

You can't even buy it from Disney anymore...

I wish they would remake this one. There are some great songs in it.

    Zip--i -dee -doo dah.

    Just revise the offensive bits.

But it's probably less risky to just pretend it never existed.

I was just thinking the other day when I saw the DVD at the store, but I'm surprised Wizard of Oz hasn't been remade. Not that I think they SHOULD, but it's just a movie I figured some one in Hollywood would want to redo with a modern flare to it.

Birth of a Nation remake would be pretty sweet.

if we are talking good/critically acclaimed movies

    I would say LOTR trilogy

I dont see how anyone could top that especially when so much of the source material from the books was kept in the movie unlike other famous books to film.

Took this long to say 'My Life' starring Michael Keaton and Nicole Kidman?
