Other than the ones already mentioned:

    sunset blvd
    psycho

EDIT: one thing that has always bugged me is how nowadays a lot of my friends and younger people (heck i aint even old) refuse to watch movies because they arent in color. I tried to get my friend to watch dr strangelove a few weeks back but he wouldnt since it was black and white and "probably hate cheesy special effects" he ended up watching a really crappy movie instead and it just burns me up.

A lot of good ones already on there. Marx Brothers, Stranger Than Paradise, and Dr. Strangelove... being among the best.

Here is a list of other great ones.

    The Miracle of Morgan's Creek

    Treasure of the Sierra Madre

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance

    Captain Blood

    The Seahawk

    Sullivan's Travels

Marie Antoinette(The movie is only so-so, but Robert Morley's performance makes the movie more than worthwhile)

    A Face in the Crowd

    Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

    Harvey

    The Lost Weekend

    It Happens Every Spring

    Shut My Big Mouth

    Polo Joe

    Alibi Ike

    Modern Times

    City Lights

    Gold Rush

    The Bank Dick

Never Give a Sucker an Even Break

    My Little Chickadee

You Can't Cheat an Honest Man

    The Dawn Patrol

    Philadelphia Story

    Alfred Hitchcock movies

The Flame and the Arrow (the movie isn't the best, but the stunts and swashbuckling by its star are top notch.)
