Alien vs. Predator clearly determined that Predator wins.

 

Alien is better just simply because of the strong women lead..... It was ahead of its time with woke culture.

 

Predator is much more rewatchable than Alien. Alien is a fantastic sci-fi horror movie. Predator is a fantastic sci-fi action/horror movie with Arnold in his prime and a great supporting cast. On the first watch, Alien is the better experience. The suspense buildup is perfect, the twist with Ash is amazing, just a masterpiece. Once you have seen it and you know what is going to happen, Predator is a more fun ride. It has tons of action, the first half with the military mission is great, the one-liners are flying fast and furious, I can watch it over and over.

 

Predator is better than Alien.....Resurrection.

 

Aliens, like Predator, is more of an action/sci-fi/horror movie, and it has the quotable one-liners and stuff. It is also very rewatchable.

 

They are fools. I’m no Ridley Scott fan but even I know alien is a much superior movie and franchise than predator/prey

 

Yeah well, Alien is the better movie, I'll give you that, but it's also beginning to show it's age. And if we're being honest, Predator is a lot more fun--especially the last twenty minutes or so.

 

I remember fondling a girl's foot behind me in the theater when I watched this. She gave me her # and we talked for hours. Guess I was 15. She was cute.

 

What really sets Predator apart is the amazing dialogue and acting.



Predator is right there with Commando and Running Man as cheeseball 80s over the top Ahnold action flicks.

It's silly fun, not much else.

Alien is a surprisingly good actual film with legitimately good acting- in spite of the fact that is 70s sci-fi horror. Yaphet Kotto, Harry Dean Stanton, Ian Holm and John Hurt all give great performances.

By contrast, all of the characters in Predator are cartoonish stereotypes.

Alien, is a great movie and one of the best sci-Fi and horror movies made but the Alien Franchise is very uneven. I think overall the Predator franchise is more consistent. While the original Predator is a great action movie I don’t think it holds up critically or influentially like Alien.

 

Predator is way more rewatchable.
