97% on Rottentomatoes at the time of this post I've had an interest in this movie ever since the first preview, and I'm psyched that I finally get to see it tonight. I've never been one to see an animated film immediately upon release (Little Nemo and Monsters, Inc. are the only two I ever saw in the theater) but I just can't wait for this one. Going to hit a late show tonight and hope to avoid most of the kiddies. Here are some quotes from the "top critics" if you're interested... So, who else is going to see this?
This is going to be my 2 1/2 year old son's first movie theater experience. I read on AICN that it was one of the best pure sci-fi movies of all time, so I'm pretty psyched to see it.
Seeing it this afternoon with the kiddos. like you ever cared? yes, I've seen pr0n, and I am more impressed by the visuals than the dialogue
between the main robots? i thought i saw a trailer/commercial with someone saying something like "stop that robot" either way i will watch it probably next monday or so.
I don't think that will be a problem...Then again, I'm assuming that the 116 out of 120 reviewers on rottentomatoes have actually watched the movie. Including this guy...
The critics have been giving this very high praise, even more so than "Ratatouille" and there were some that were angered that Ratatouille didn't at least get more nominations at the Academy Awards than it did. Could this be a top award nominee?
I was fairly underwhelmed by these two movies too, but if you took them and compared them to the bulk of Disney movies pre-Pixar, they would still be better than 95% of them.
