For better or worse, here's the Mummy 3 starring Brenden Frasier and Jet Li. I was surprised to see that it even existed. Release date: 8-1-8 Director's Blog
These movies are a guilty pleasure for me. Silly, mindless fun...not pleased to see Weisz has been recast though...she was a hottie.
8-1-8 ... I go to the movies at least 3 times a month, and I haven't seen the trailer for it. Definitely will watch this.
I like the first two, especially the second, but how much more can they do with it? Seriously, the same mummy will come back again? But, if this one is anywhere close to being the riot the other two were watching with packed house in the theatre, it should be pretty good.
they replaced her with Maria Bello, who isn't too shabby herself btw, Rachel Weiz is hot,. but after watching her in Defintely Maybe, her age is showing
Scheduling conflicts. Like Dave said, Maria Bello instead. I don't get it seeing as how they look nothing alike, and I have no idea how good her British accent is, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Definite guilty pleasure movie.

I hate that they had to recast someone as Evie. I would of rather her character just wasnt in it than that. But, what can you do? I might check it out. Really enjoyed the first two.
Wont promise you that you'll like it but I thought both were pretty good. But I know our opinions can be like the sun and moon. Totally different.
i don't know how good this will be (no real hype and coming out in august doesn't make me feel any better) but i love the first Mummy. just a fun movie and one of the best tv movies ever because it doesn't have any slow scenes. if it's on tbs/tnt, no matter when you tune in there's some comedy or action happening and if you miss 20-30 minutes doing something else, you can just pop right back in and not have missed anything. great movie. i swear when i saw the second one, i thought they had gotten rid of the original evie and put rachel weisz in her place. i didn't know until a while later that that was rachel weisz in the original. granted, i had no idea who she was when i saw the first so it was easier to make that mistake, but even now when i watch the original, except for her eyes sorta, i swear it looks nothing like her.
