one of the weirder shows to ever grace comedycentral is now a movie...complete with stephen colbert. evidently, this is the "prequel" to the tv series. http://www.strangerswithcandythemovie.com/
My woman though his book "Me Talk Pretty One Day" was so hilarious that she had the need to keep talking about it for weeks after she finished it.. I loved the show Strangers with Candy show and I'm sure the movie will be just as good, but I cannot see this movie doing well by Hollywood standards..
Yeah I own all the dvds etc.etc. And I started a SWC thread years ago but just got one reply from someone who didn't like it. The show was so funny I don't know why more people here aren't into it. Is this movie the same one that was in some film fesitval a while back? If so I heard the tv show was better and the use the same jokes/skits from the show. Or is this a different new movie? Here are some quotes for those new to the show Jerri Blank "Hello, I'm Jerri Blank and I'm a 46-year-old high school freshman. For 32 years I was a teenage runaway. I was a boozer, a user, and a loser. My friends were dealers, cons, and 18 karat pimps. But now I'm out of jail, picking up my life exactly where I left off. I'm back in high school, living at home, and discovering all sorts of things about my body. I'm finding out that though the faces have changed, the hassles are just the same."
