Everyone go see this movie. It is a perfect mix of the horror and comedy genres. There were so many times where I would go from being terrified and on the edge of my seat to falling out of it laughing my a$$ off.
I am thinking of going and seeing it. I will see if my roomate would wanna see it too. Going to go see The Forgotten tomorow.
I saw it just the other day and was disappointed. I think maybe my hopes were to high because I had seen this movie getting some hype. When it comes down to it, the British just aren't all that funny. (With the exception of SNATCH and LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS.)
hell...while we are at it.... What about the original BBC production of the Hitchiker's Guide? cheesy effects to be sure...but funny as hell.
I just saw this last nite, and found it to be WELL ABOVE my expectations. I intended to be entertained, but I'm already looking forward to the DVD release. This flick has the perfect mix of gore, comedy, buddy-movie and even romance in it! It's odd to say it, but as I watched it I wished I'd brought a date, because you'll get her clinging to you in the tense parts and saying "Awww...!" in the serious parts. Plus, there's gore!!
I saw it Friday and it was excellent. It deserves all the great reviews it's been getting. I loved it so much, I went back and looked up the people involved and have found yet another hilarious British show, Spaced. If you Bittorrent, I recommend you get your hands on some eps of Spaced, particularly 3 and 4. Episode 3 is where they got the idea to make Shaun of the Dead. Episode 4 has a paintball sequence that'll have you laughing hysterically. The just mentioned in an interview that they're kicking around the idea of doing a buddy cop Bad Boys type spoof because they want to see what a movie like that without any guns.
