big fan of the original trilogy (although the 3rd wasn't that great, but Jay/Silent Bob's cameo did it for me), looking forward to it I for one, am happy they aren't making it a "3D" feature, thank god.....
Seems like it, used to be just the bigger hyped movies and most summer movies, now it seems like any movie I remember there was a kids movie also showing at midnight when I went to see The Town back in Sep. that was strange...
alright, saw the midnight showing First off, I was a huge fan of the original trilogy. Loved the first, thought the second was the best, and third was "meh" to me although the Jay/Silent Bob cameo was gold. I was happy to see that Kevin Williamson was back penning the script because he was creative with the first two, and knows how to integrate pop culture in the script as much as Seth McFarlene does with Family Guy. It'll be hard to give a review without well, revealing anything. It does a solid job paying homepage to the original 3, more so the first one than the other later 2, while at the same time, introducing the horror/slasher genre to the newer generation. Do you need to see the first 3 to get it? Not really, just get an idea of the first 3 were. I liked how not only did they mock horror movies, but all movies in general. I didn't really expect much, I knew it was going to be better than the 3rd, and this one is up there with the first because of its "originality". Was surprise I havent seen to much heavy promo for the movie, but it'll bank on word of mouth.
