I went through the first 7 pages of the forum i didnt see anything so if a thread has already been posted i am sorry, merge/delete this thread. Has anyone else seen this movie? I saw it last night and its easily the funniest movie I've seen all year. It was also very well written and well casted and acted. I hope that it starts to be screened at more theaters nationwide. It was playing only in two theaters in hollywood. Highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a movie to really enjoy at the theaters 9/10
funniest movie this year by far. Absolutely amazing performances by everyone only to be highlighted by the new comers in Paul Dano and Abigail Bresslin. Fan Fn Tastic.
I heard it was awesome. I've been waiting to see this one for months. Steve Carrell's character looks like gold. I can't wait.
Saw it yesterday. Greatest dysfunctial family since the Royal Tennenbaums. Nice little quirkey comedy.
I saw it the other day. The announcer of the beauty pageant was hilarious. My other favorite seen was the officer searching the van. Good stuff. Nice soundtrack too.
this movie was awesome, definitely one of the best films i've seen this year. actually off the top of my head it's my favorite so far. i have no idea how the whole distribution thing works but what's the reason why this movie isn't shown in more theatres/screens? it's certainly better then most of the crap they run out there.
They must really be relying on word of mouth and reviews. That has to be the worst trailer of all time.
I made up my mind to go see this movie after discovering that it scored 93% on the tomatometer. Yes, it is definitely the funniest movie of the year (the cop scene was painfully funny). The movie also has this way of being brutally honest and intermixing tragedy and painful situations into the plot without being forced ... the plot and direction were simply fabulous. Only negative I'd say is that it could have used a little less foul language, but by the time the end credits were rolling I was laughing way too hard to care.
I just have to bump this thread... If you haven't seen this movie, go see it! You won't regret it. This was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen, with some incredible acting. It really needs to get Oscar consideration, Steve Carell especially. I know the Academy hates comedies for best picture, but this one deserves a nomination. There are so many hilarious, touching parts to this movie, I wouldn't know where to start. Just a great, great movie that everyone needs to see.
