after watching the crap that was the village i'd rather someone just tell me what "the twist" in this one is.

as stupid as it probably will be i'm still curious, i just don't have a desire to sit through this movie.

Apparently people are quite confused with the story, and not in a good way. That combined with the terrible rating makes me curious; I've like all his movies thus far though.

But it looks like Disney was right in passing on his script.

Some guy at work told me a sports writer wrote this story and M Knight added to, but from what I hear you can only polish a turd so much..

    I will see it
He is a good director . . his writing . . not so much
He still coasting on the fumes of 6th Sense and Unbreakable

Each of his movies is still worse than the one before it
hopefully this will start a upward trend

    6th Sense >>> unbreakable > Signs >The village > ???

For the most part I agree with you in that 6th Sense was the only one that didn't hurt me but I actually put Signs as his worst. The "twist" in the Village was stupid and obvious from very early on, but at least there was a love story in the middle that had little to do with the twist. Usually his scripts spend 1-2 hours telling you there is a twist and then - bam - there is a twist and we are supposed to say "wow!" or something. Just thinking about Signs makes me want to bleed from my eyes.

    i understand
The Village was just tripe from beginning to end though
it was the one film where his attempt of creating atmosphere failed
because i just could not buy into it

I got into Signs . .but over the course of the movie
    it got stupider and stupider

    Unbreakable was his best, IMO.

I loved 6th Sense and Unbreakable. Signs was nothing great, but worth watching. I liked the music in the beginning. Haven't seen Village because I heard it's the dumbest movie ever. I heard there isn't even a twist, it's just so predicable, and its a lot worse than Signs. That scared me off. As far as Lady in the Water, it looks weird, but I'll wait and see what the critics have to say. I'll watch it because Night said there's a big twist at the end. I love those types of movies.

I actually enjoyed The Village. The scenery and atmosphere of the movie was great. It was better than Signs.

I really enjoyed Signs UNTIL the ending. The atmosphere was great and he did an good job with the alien characters until he decided to show them. It just ruined the entire movie for me.
