Didn't see a thread about this in my search results, so thought I'd start a thread now.

    Did anyone see it?

I hated how the main character was practically useless, and it was totally unbelievable that he scored such a hot chick ( even in the realm of movie land)

I would wait for Hit Girl too....

Too bad there won't be a sequel to Kick-Ass. It only pulled in $45 million.

Sequel is already planned. It was produced for only $30 million, and has taken in $45 million domestic and at least half that internationally. I'd say that qualifies as at least a moderate success.

I can't say I'm surprised at its gross though, considering how horribly it was marketed. I was one of the many people who had no intent to see it based on how stupid the trailers made it look. I get the feeling that word of mouth will boost DVD and Blu-Ray sales, though.

factor in that it was rated-R, as it should have, it couldnt get that teenage demographic that most likely would have gone to go see it. not shocked it didnt make a huge amount but it still made a profit

i am sure it will have strong dvd/blu-ray sales
