I went to an advanced screening of this film and boy is it an emotional movie. I never get emotional while watching movies because I think that's pretty lame but after seeing this movie I left heavy hearted. I encourage everyone to see this movie. The images were things I had seen on the news in the early 90's but to see it again just brought back those memories. The acting is great (Don Cheadle was amazing and should get an Oscar nomination), and the images are touching. The movie focuses on Cheadle's character who is the manager of a Belgian owned hotel in Rwanda, Africa. He put aside his and his family's freedom to help save over a 1000 others who would have been massacred along with the other million that were slaughtered. I hope people will go see this movie and support it. I am glad that attention is being brought to what is going on/went on in Africa because the world seems to not care about that country. The otrocities that occur there are as bad, if not worst than what happened in Bosnia, in Iraq and Afghanistan. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I've been wanting to see this. Tried to see it in Chicago a couple of weeks ago, but didn't get around to it.
