    Sounds interesting.......

The James Gunn-produced sci-fi horror thriller “Brightburn” has made it pretty clear that it’s effectively a mashup of “Man of Steel” with various films about psychotic evil children ala “The Bad Seed” or “The Good Son”.

Now a new trailer has arrived. In the film, a child from another world crash-lands on Earth and is raised by a wholesome couple who try to instil good into him. However instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proves to be something far more sinister.

Elizabeth Banks, Jackson Dunn, David Denman, Meredith Hagner and Matt Jones star in the David Yarovesky-directed film which is released May 24th.

I wonder if the message is "nature vs nurture," and how that influences an upbringing.

But it seems like the child is genetically predisposed to evil.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!! I would love to see DC take this approach if they ever make a Reign of the Supermen Storyline movie. It would be perfect behavior for Eradicator or Android Superman.

Looks good. Someone had posted a trailer for it here a while ago, but doesn't seem to have made a thread.

I hope it's good and I'm surprised DC is ok with this.

Yeah, I remember seeing it here a while ago and had forgotten it. I'm in.

Always wondered why there aren't there more origin stories for evil in the comic book movies. You'd think you could make a solid sci-fi/horror movie out of some of those stories.

The one with the 4 kids, they're all good to start, and then the insufferable ass kid goes nuts with power and his best friend kills him...that was a watchable flick.

Not the happy, go lucky movie that I was expecting.

Just watched it, wasn’t expecting how graphic and violent it was. It was solid, better than anything DC has put out lately.

It certainly has a Spielberg feel to it, which is a good thing and even some M. Night Shyamalan.

Funny thing . . .the biggest problem with continuing this movie to sequel is
    THE BOYS did it better.
HomeLander is a better version of this ideal '

I watched this movie finally and I think it's a bit better than the reviews -- I like that they went evil from the start and just kept dialing it up. No happy ending just more mayhem -- the sequel will have a good starting point - hopefully they keep it dark and ramp up the mystery.

Horror element should be there. Prolly scarier to watch a little kid burning everything down than adult Homelander.

Watched yesterday. Despite some weak writing it was enjoyable. Would love to see a sequel some day.

I watched this but forgot almost everything about it. But I'll never forget that Elizabeth Banks is smoking hot. 10/10 would marry her even if I have to live in Kansas.

That kid really freaked me out.
