My brother, nephew and I went to see "Bobby" tonight. Powerful story. More about the impact of the man, Bobby, on the rank and file. Anyone else take it in?

I'm conflicted, giddy. I was a huge supporter of Bobby, and watched his victory speech after he had won the California primary. It was very, very late in Houston, but I was pumped, and knew that he was going to get the nomination (he would have) and win the election (he certainly would have done that). I kept watching the coverage, and saw him get shot. Just when the country seemed on the verge of recovering it's balance, it lost it again in an instant, and in my opinion, hasn't recovered. You just knew it at that moment... that the world was forever changed. And it was. Sometimes, those gut feelings are true.

What I'm saying is, do I really want to put myself through all those emotions again? I just don't know.

38 years, and I remember the evening well. No, I don't get worked up about it now, unless something comes up that brings the memories back. It's the sort of thing you would have had to experience to understand. And been old enough for it to be meaningful.
