I don't know how he does it, but Soderbergh always gets 20 A+ actors in his mediocre movies. More power to him. I just have never loved his stuff. This particular movie is a genre and theme I typically love, however, so I'll probably give it a shot.
The commercial summarized the first two hours of the Soderbergh movie. Now we gotta decide whether to pay for watching the last 30-45 minutes then claim to others that we felt kinda smarter to rationalize the ordeal.
Balderdash! Off the top of my head he's made some outstanding movies: Out of Sight Traffic Contagion And some very good ones: Erin Brockavich Logan Lucky The Limey No Sudden Move The Informant
See, I was pumped for Contagion. Saw it in the theaters opening weekend. And I thought it sucked. I thought to myself.... maybe I just need to watch it again. Give it another shot. Maybe I was in a **** mood or maybe I just didn't get it. But, no. I rewatched it a couple years later. Same deal. That movie just didn't click for me. (I had the exact same viewer experience with Cronenberg's A History of Violence, which people seem to love. It just didn't work for me.)
