early reviews have this being a great psychological horror movie. rotten tomatoes at 100%. i'm looking forward to seeing this!
I'm not a horror move guy to start with and the previews for this don't do anything to help... Sam Jackson says don't go in that room. He goes in there anyway. Hilarity ensues.
The suspense! <embed src="http://www.collegehumor.com/moogaloop/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=1764124" quality="best" width="400" height="300" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed>
Yeah, the previews don't make it look like anything more than your typical dime-a-dozen summer horror movie. That doesn't always mean anything, though. I remember thinking that Austin Powers, Fight Club and The Game all looked like total crap from the previews. Sometimes, you really can't capture in a few seconds what makes a 2 hour movie so great.

yea, i thought it was just another crappy Stephen King movie but the reviews have me excited. not often do horror movies get this kind of love, albeit it's a small sample of ten.
I thought the previews for this looked pretty good and I'm not big into the horror genre. I have a feeling that room 237 is scarier then room 1408 though.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1408/ i'm certain my wife will take me along, as she loves these sorts of movies. the reviews are great.
dntrwl... that sh*t is hilarious, man... thank you... I've been laughing like an idiot at home... ROTFLMAO! This movie reminds me of Delirious with Eddie Murphy: [whisper]"GET OUT!"[/whisper] "Too bad we can't stay, baby" Ghosts don't exist. Movies make ghosts exist.
Hey, leroy420, I was thinking about your post... and thought, "why does Samuel L. Jackson keep renting that room, if there have been so many people dying?!?!? Why doesn't he just shut the entire floor down?!?!?" Why not go at the theater, rrj_gamz ? Skirred? I don't care if guy A stole it from guy B. I heard guy A first. Where's Joe Rogan when you need him, huh?
Surprised to hear the reviews have been good, I've seen the previews and it looks like utter garbage and I'm a big horror fan
I remember why I wait a week or so or go to matinees instead of going out in prime time opening night. F'n teenagers! I mean I was one just two years ago, but dammit, shut up during the beginning of the movie! And everyone shhhing each other isn't funny. And hot 14 year olds, please stop dressy slutty making me gawk at you then turning around and making me realize I'm a perv. On to the topic, I really enjoyed it. Thought it was a great movie. Satisfying ending and some actually scary parts at least to me. Also some pretty good humor. I actually laughed out loud at some non-corny jokes.
