Can anyone recommend some movers who are professional and affordable? Please don't recommend your brother-in-law's cousin's uncle's buddy unless you've actually used him and were pleased.

movers are pretty much Ex cons.

U can take ur choice of ex conns depending on how much you pay.

10 dollars an hour for Murders
    15 for rapists
20 assault with a deadly weapon
    30 armed robbery
    40 burglary/grand theft auto
    50 some dui bastards
    60 manslaughter
100 bucks for some curfew violators

the best movers are expensive though 200 million. They are usually a$$hole white collar crime mfers. I heard 200 mil for the whole board of trustees of Enron.

they might not cover your area, but call A-1 Advanced Movers in Tomball (I am pretty sure they move all around Houston)

they moved me last year and the rate was $70/hr. for 2 guys and $95/hr. for 3 guys (they have a 2 hour minimum, and I would recommend the 3 guy rate) ...they are very fast, which is suprising seeing as how they get paid by the hour .....they pack efficiently and wrap up all the furniture with blankets and what not ..they do ask for tips if you are satisfied with their service (I tipped each guy $40 plus lunch since they did such an excellent job) ...you can also tip them with misc. junk that you don't want

just to give you an idea, we had a 4 bedroom/3 bath house and they moved all the stuff out of my old house, into my new one, PLUS had to go pick up 2 10x15 storage units across town and they were finished in 8 hours (20 miles in betwen the two houses).....with junk and tips, I think I was out of there in under $850 and not one thing was damaged

That sounds great. At those rates, I think my job could be done for under $500, even with tips.
