Moulds is a Done Deal But no details till this weekend.

It looks like we got him!

790am and a station in Philly are reporting a deal is done but no official word yet.

610 is not confirming anything (probally because they are Texans flagship)

This is huge! Great offseason Texans!

Rumor is three years 15 mil and either a 4th or a 5th round pick.

I've never heard of this guy Moulds. Can someone give me a brief description please? It seems like most people have positive opinions of him so he's probably good.

We are slowly taking away any excuse for D Carr.

I am going to slowly try to climb up on his bandwagon because he is definately going to be driving a bunch of high powered ponies.

He used to be the top reciever in buffalo for years and regularly would top 1000 yards a year.

Age has finally caught up with him and he's not a #1 anymore but he'll be a great #2 who can take advantage of single coverage since teams will probably double andre johnson.

He's definitely a major upgrade over jabar gaffney. Nice to have a legit and proven reciever to compliment Johnson, along with a tight end (putzier) who can catch the ball as well.

Not to mention as someone posted in the other thread about Moulds coming here. He has great years on the Even numbered years. :) I think he actually has a lot left in the tank becuase last year he proved he could do a good job when he had a good quarterback throwing to him.

All last year i followed him in Fantasy Football because he was having a crappy year with JP Lohsman at the QB position. Lohsman loved throwing to Lee Evans and the other reciver over there and Moulds was basically frozen out of the offense.

When Kelly Holcumb came in and started at QB it was a whole different ball game. He threw a lot to Moulds and he preformed every game. As soon as Holcumb got hurt Moulds value went to crap again and that's when he had that spat with the team and was suspended for a game. Lohsman basically never threw the ball his direction. As a #2 for the Texans it's a great pickup. He definitly will catch all the balls Bradford and Gaffney couldn't get.

He only topped 1000 yards 4 times in 10 seasons so I don't know if I would say he regularly did that. However those 4 seasons were 98, 00, 02 and 04 so he seems to like getting over 1000 yards in even numbered years. Hopefull 06 will be no different :D

Overall though he is an extremely solid pickup and should be a great number 2 reciever.

790 just rumored the deal being 4 years $12 million with a $4-5 signing bonus. If so Casserly is beginning to impress me.

    exactly what I was thinking.

Andre, Bush, Moulds, DD, even Putz are all good weapons on O. With that much talent, the oline only needs to be decent to have success.

Too bad the d still sucks.

You cant really rebuild Rome in an offseason.....but you can build the offense first so at least the games are interesting!!!!

AWESOME. This frees the team up to take the best DL, OL or LB available in the 2nd round...assuming they go Reggie Bush.

Here's the thing. If you line up Moulds and Johnson at the wide outs, put Bush in the slot with Davis in the backfield and Putzier at the TE, what defense do they send out?

You don't want a linebacker on Bush, but you'll need at least a couple for coverage with Davis and Putzier.

It is going to make teams have to really work to guard everyone.

Which works great -- if there is anyone on the Line to allow Carr a second or two to actually find the open man and deliver.

That's another big deal. This frees them up a lot to draft the best available guys.
