I say we trade luther "brick" head for Johan petro from the oklahoma thunders

    Oklahoma City Thunder

    Incoming Players
    Luther Head
    Luther Head
    Salary: $1,962,378 Years Remaining: 1
    PTS: 5.0 REB: 0.0 AST: 0.0 PER: 10.23

    Outgoing Players: Johan Petro
    Houston Rockets

    Incoming Players
    Johan Petro
    Johan Petro
    Salary: $1,939,893 Years Remaining: 1
    PTS: 5.3 REB: 6.0 AST: 0.0 PER: 9.95

    Outgoing Players: Luther Head

John petro's a proven center who has size and can get rebounds and maybe score if we need him to

So a thread about Johan Petro is titled "Mouhamed Sene any1?"...?

And yes, I would gladly trade Luther for Petro. But he's only 22 and I doubt the Thunder would part with him. They also have a plethora of small guards already.

I know this thread is about Petro but I really like Sene as a prospect. He's a younger more athletic version of Deke, can' say he'll have a good career but I really like this kid.

Petro is nice too, Robert Swift is still a free agent me thinks.

I'd trade for either Sene or Petro doesn't matter.

Here's a few players I felt were reasonable and/or realistic for us to get

    Ryan Hollins - Charlotte
    Steven Hunter - Denver
    Joe Smith/Mouhamed Sene - OKC
    Brian Skinner - LAC
    Hilton Armstrong/Melvin Ely - NO
    Shelden Williams - Sacramento

    Petro sounds good.

I also wouldn't mind Steven Hunter as he has experience under his belt.

Who was the kid (Johnson?) who played for Ohio State about five years ago. As I recall, he was a pretty good defensive center. Has he been maturing overseas somewhere?

    no.

Neither of them would be more effective than Hayes/Scola at center. We need a vet with size who can contribute right away. There is a very small pool of players who are big, defensive minded and willing to play sparingly while getting paid near the minimum.

    sign Deke already...

How about a player like Gadzuric or Doleac? To tel you the truth, I don't know where they play now and what type of contract they have, so I don't know how realistic a trade for either of these guys would be.

Does anyone know how realistic it is to get Gadzuric or Doleac on board?

    At least someone is realistic

Cmon people, first off you need a team that needs a guard and then has plenty of the position we want in return. Secondly don't expect someone who gets regular playing time for someone like Head. Lastly, any trade will probably result in the same effect, someone on the bench unless he is 7 feet tall.
