TMobile is willing to give me a pretty deep discount on either a V360 or a RAZR. I Like the fact that the V360 has expandable memory and an MP3 player but I really like the RAZR look and feel and the bigger screen. Anybody have either one of these and can give me some insight?
I have the Razr, it's pretty l33t. But i heard the T-Mobile version allows you to record actual movies whereas mine (cingular) does not. :\
I have the T-mobile Razr, I can record videos and all. Other than that the phone is crap. Its too big, although slim. Most people I know who have it complain about the earpiece volume.
I just purchased a Motorola Razr V3 today. It should be in within the next few days so I cant tell you how that one works. I ran into three different people today with one and talked to them about how they like it or dislike it. All I got was positive things. I was told that it picks up better signal over the smaller phones (I currently have the V551). The volume from the ear piece is the same as a V551(pretty good I might add). Between three different people I was convinced to get one today. Your best bet is to find someone who has one and is willing to let you play around with it to see how you like it.
Hey Mulder, What type of discount are you getting? Are you an existing customer? I am, but haven't gotten them to drop the upgrade pricing... As for the phone, I've heard nothing but good things, especially regarding the reception. It may seem a little big (as it's wide though slim), but it depends on how it will feel in your pocket. You should go to a cell store and check that out. Ditto for the 360.
4 of my family members are on separate contracts and all are now on month to month. They were pretty willing to make us all a deal so that wouldn't lose all of us. I am actually leaning strongly towards the V360 now since the RAZR has got some really bad reviews, great look, bad phone...
Get the SLVR V8: It's everything that a RAZR is, but has video capabilities and a TransFlash memory card slot.
Btw the 2 phones originally listed I opted for the v360. One it's not as wide but it's a thicker but still fits perfectly into my 5th jean pocket. That's a big criteria for me as I dont' like bumps in my pcokets and having it scratch against coins or keys. If you use the internet plan or t-zones then the v360 has EDGE support which is faster than standard GPRS. I can actually tether my phone to my PDA and it sustains a pretty good connection. Houston is still upgrading their data services for t-mobile though so be patient. V360 also has a better audio player as well and the transflash card is pretty nifty though I don't listen to mp3's on my phoen but does allow good space for swapping ringtones and wallpapers. There are other phones that are better but costly that will work on the t-mobile network but if you get a good discount from t-mobile than you can't really go wrong with the v360. razr and v360 have same type of camera, not sure if the razr has 4x zoom but I think it does. I believe both can record video as well.
just a heads up... verizon wireless is coming out with the razr in about 18 minutes (launches on the 7th). may want to look into the pricing there as well.
its going to be expensive ... but better than the GSM versions. The reception on this baby is excellent. Otherwise, its still a crap phone.
I'm about to renew my contract with TMOBILE and might get a Razr phone too. My contract expired back in August but I haven't bothered to renew it yet, incase I wanted to discontinue it. my current phone, Sony Ericson T610 has horrible reception. I hate it.
just call up and tell em you want to cancel, then wait and see all the offers they throw your way, incl a free month, and a brand spanking new fone.
