I would like to officially represent the collective fathers on the board and countersue BigSherv and accuse him of being one of those poser know it all non-parents who think they know everything about children having never experienced anything firsthand.

It is you, sir, who are annoying. Not the babies.

    :);)

I KEED... But seriously... you're talking out of your butt...

I had a couple of toddlers scramble into my booth and start messing with my food while I was in line at the china buffet. The parents were a few booths over and didn't even notice. When I got back to my table I gave the kid the meanest look I could manage softly yelled "get the **** out of here." at them like I was about to take literally their head off. They were shocked and went running. The parents never noticed a thing. The thought of their kid hands near my food makes me ill. That place is becoming way to kid friendly in general, giving out balloons and crap. I quit going there.

some people are just Company Men
no matter what the case . .they take the side of the Company over the individual

    Rocket River
Americans have sooooo much faith in companies that they will 'do the right thing' without oversight or regulation
it is incredible to me. . cause they generally never have

I still want to hear the story from the other side.
This story does not make sense. If the kid was not loud. If the mother behaved. If "all" other passengers around them agreed that they were not loud ... Why would a flight attendant who does not have to come next to their seat for but a few minutes and who normally works/ sits 10, 15 rows away be disturbed? Do you think they just go around and pick on children and mothers who behaved just for fun? Something ought to have happened before that.

Even if the kid was loud, its not like there is another alternative. I normally can't stand noisy kids at restaurants, movies, etc where parents should get up and take their kid out. Its not like they have that choice on the plane.

Whether this mom was trying to keep her kid quiet or not is another story, but even if she wasn't trying, its just rude, not something to be kicked off the plane for.

If they deserved to be kicked off then so do these people that I've been on a plane with many times ...

    1) Fat ass that covers part of my seat
    2) The guy that snores non-stop the whole flight
    3) The people that sit next to me talking non-stop the entire red-eye flight
    4) The lady that wears too much perfume (often the flight attendant)
    5) The kid that kicks the back of my seat way too often
    6) The person in the window seat that gets up every 20 minutes to use the bathroom

I could go on and on ... Kicking off these people would be the same as kicking off the mother and kid regardless of how obnoxious the 2 of them were.

Worst flight I ever had was when this indian kid maybe 5 or 6 years old that kept on kicking the back of my seat for the whole 8 hour trip.

    lol word..

kids are only cute to their parents.. to everyone else they're annoying!

How bout having control over your children's behavior in public out of respect for others? How about some common courtesy?

    "hello, hello lawsuit"...

What a b*tch...The flight attendant (glorified waitress)...

btw, don't ever call a flight attendant a waitress..I was tired and it was a long travel day and I said this not once, but about three times and she was PO'd...I got a dirty look the entire flight from Sydney to LA...

I think a flight attendant would have to be one of the toughest, most grueling jobs someone can have. Not counting the obvious having to deal with obnoxious people, you have fly on a plane every day of your damn lives. Going on a 3 hour plane ride is bad enough, but imagine having to do that twice a day, 5 days a week.

At least they're not expected to sit in a seat the entire time unless they want to go visit a tiny restroom.

Loud/crying babies are annoying on planes. I put on my ipod and do the best to drown them out. The flight attendant went overboard though. If Continental doesn't have a policy against loud babies, which I'm pretty sure they don't, she shouldn't have done it.

Airplanes have become little more than over-glorified buses.
