think the flight attendant went too far or do you harbor secret wishes to kick off loud babies on flights?

How come the Mom doesn't know how to shut her kid up?

The "baby benadryl" thing went over the line, though. All she had to do was buy one of those airplane cocktails and give the kid a little scotch. :D

    lol.

an exgirlfriend told me about how her mother use to record her, and her sister's, screaming tantrums on a recorder. THen at random, quiet times she should play it back really loud, like in the car driving to school, in the middle of the night when they were sleeping, etc. :D

    What a great idea

The kid sounds annoying, and the mom sounds like a b****.

My wife was recently on standby for over 8 hours with my 9 month old and 7 year old. They showed absolutely no sympathy and even charged us $300 dollars when my wife couldn't take the wait any longer. (Standby had been waived for a locked in flight but weather kept delaying it longer and longer and the flight was subsequently canceled).

I've come to the conclusion that Continental sucks donkey magic, but they are currently king. And as the saying goes, "It's good to be King"

Don't go on standby, then. You were looking for a cheap flight. But don't expect accomodations or preferential treatment when you do.

EDIT: And the "spell-check" on here needs some tinkering. This is the third time I've spelled something correctly, and the spell-check says it is wrong.

I can see where the kid sounds annoying, but how in the world does the mom sound like a b****. There's only one b**** in this scenario.

That's true, flying on standby you'll go when they have space to put you on, otherwise they you'll be stuck waiting

Just by the way she thinks her kid has a bubbly personality, and when she said "Well, I'm not going to drug my child so you have a pleasant flight."

Maybe she thinks her kid is really cute, but she should at least try to get him quiet so that others could have a pleasant flight.

Didn't go on standby. Paid full price for the fare's but an email mixup made her miss her scheduled flight.

    Riiiiight.

Airlines will never charge you a larger fee for a full-fare ticket, even if you purchased a discounted fare in advance. If a flight was cancelled, you will not be charged extra for a later flight.

    sounds suspicious....

But espcially for continental. I've always had great service there. By far the worst is America West, or as i call it America Worst
