Although MoT has some excellent games recently. But I notice one thing, that he seldom passed the ball from the post. I start to think that Yao Ming's style is hurting this Rocket team. You either change all other starter's style to fit Yao, or trade Yao to get somebody who fit the rockets style, which is fast paced, high scoring, and iso-oriented game. Steve, Cuttino, and Mo will all benefit from that style. Plus what a Yao trade can bring to the team, e.g. Mike Dunleavy and Dampier, Houston Rockets can really become a wining and entertaining team. The current Rockets is just like an odd couple still try to work the marriage out. Yao is a new comer. His so-called "unselfish" style is supposed to make all other players around him better. He certainly hasn't done that yet. Yao and Steve/Cat/Mo may never play on the same page. Houson can't gamble the entire franchise on one player. Parting with Yao at this time may bring the most to the team. Sometimes a divorce is good for everybody. Imagine in the last summer, if Houston trade Cato/EG for Brad Miller.........
Yeah, maybe you're right. We should play the game with more balls! Then, everyone can iso! All at once! Too bad there's only one basket!!! Sometimes, I wish Yao had more balls!!!
If you read the Hou-NJN game recap, you will notice that the Nets' plan is to stop Yao and let Rockets beat them from outside. In Steve's mind, he had a embarassing streak of bad games, he had to break out on stat, otherwise he would be jeered heavily on all-star weekend. The result: Nets got what they wanted: shuting the interior and a W Steve got what he wanted: a breakout game from his slump I am still thinking that the Rockets organization is mistreating Steve now. For the past several years, they labeled Steve as Franchise. Now after Yao's coming, they suddenly asked Steve to change his play style. Steve tried and failed. His weakness exposed, his reputation hurted, his production dropped. Nobody can complain about that Steve and his friends what to play a style that maximize their talents. Rockets organization has to do something soon before the values of their stocks go south again, like EG's case. It is the players who win the championship, not the organization. If an organization want to win a championship and to fill the stadium, it has to make its players happy and to utilize their talents efficiently.
Mo Taylor's job is to score points. JVG does not play him to create for others and pass the ball around. Others create opportunites for him. It is his job to finish.
This is stupid.. Mo's main job on the floor is to SCORE. and for the most part...he does his job well.. When they pass the ball into the post to MO, they are doing it so he can score...he isnt there to pass out of the post...he is supposed to put the ball into the hoop. You call it black hole....(which I have noticed alot of Yao fans do...I guess it is a cardinal sin not to pass up a easy shot to give it to Yao huh?) We call it our instant offense off the bench. I feel bad for SF...he shoots badly...yall scalp him...he shoots well...he must have been doing it for his own personal reasons...not to maybe try to win the game?? For the 1st half...he was doing what he was supposed to do...he dished, and he hit his shots.. I have no excuse for whathappened in the second...but you cant blame this on any one player....evry single one them didnt want it...they came out and gave the game away... You non Rockets fans make me sick...if they struggle....there is only one solution to you...TRADE. I'm thankful the organizationisnt as kneejerk and downright faithless as some of you....they are willing to allow the players to come together...If you think Yao is getting traded anytime soon....you are seriously delusional. Get over it...Yao is not being traded.....PERIOD!
i really dont like iso but mo makes a real high percent of his shots and his duty off the bench is mainly to score, so let him do his thing.
gosh people!! You really have no knowledge of basketball. Iso is in every teams play book. Its nothing bad. all it is is utilizing the mismatch on the floor for a easy 2 pts. Its not bad, unleas it is over used. It isnt overused with mo. He gets good quality shots. He makes most of them too. I have nothing to complain about for him. He is literally isntant offesne
