Although I can think of many for this title, without question it has to be Woody Allen. I just don't understand what is so great about him. He is SOOOOOO unfunny plus he has some weird fascination with teenage girls which makes him really creepy, especially considering that he is like 40 years or older than them. Also, I would like to say that even though I don't think she is overrated, Sarah Jessica Parker has to be one of the most annoying people that I have seen of late. The fact that she thinks she is something because of that show, "Sex in the City" is a colossal joke when one considers there is like a million women out there who are better looking than her. Me watch a show where a decent looking woman (at best) gets her thrills at playing men like fools?? No thanks, I think I would rather have my wisdom teeth pulled again and this time without any anesthesia.
Don't tell me that you like "Sex in the City", Mrs. JB! It is not because you look like that one woman, is it?
No Manny, I can take or leave Sex and the City. It has its moments, but I've never known anyone who actually lives that way. I am, however, a big Woody Allen fan. I realize he's not everyone's cup of tea, but "Hannah and her Sisters" is required holiday viewing in my home every year.
I totally agree with both of those evaluations. I hate Woody Allen. He is unfunny and it is laughable that any of the women that he has playing his girlfriends/spouses. This guy is such a tool. Sex in the City is a horrible show and SJP is nasty too.
Tom Cruise- Guy isn't bad, but he isn't very damn good either. Absolutely no reason to get paid the jack he gets. And I can't stand Sarah Jessica Parker, but Woody Allen(although apparently a huge perv) is a comic genius.
Woody Allen is one of my favorites, not as an actor, necessarily, but as a filmmaker, for sure. As a person, he's probably an idiot but so is Steve Jobs and I'm typing on one of his freakin' computers right now! My overrated list: Glen Close - just never cared for her as an actress Keanu Reeves - terrible actor but I loved the Matrix Ben Affleck - I can't stand him. Tom Cruise - AWFUL actor with one character he plays in every movie. Quentin Tarentino - Absoultely HATE everything he does as a filmmaker or an actor. Josh Hartnett - ugly as sin and way overhyped as an actor. That about covers it.
i think sarah jessica parker is attractive, in a weird kooky girl kind of way. depends on her expression at times. but then again i like girls with crooked teeth. so... why do you hate 'sex and the city' manny? and no i'm not in love with the show but i think its alright. i can't stand josh hartnett either but i'm sure he's not ugly as sin. actually i like all the 'ugly' actors. steve buscemi, geoffrey rush, etc
I didn't want to start a whole new thread on this, but I went to school with this guy: And contrary to what the Internet Movie database thinks, he was not born in 1978 considering he graduated from my old high school a year after me (which was in 1992). It still blows my mind that this dude is now making movies! He was never anything in school, and he would have been the last person I would have ever guessed that would become an actor in Hollywood.
Well, I really don't know him, Sonics. He came to my school when I was a senior (he was a junior). As a matter of fact, the first year he was there, I don't think he had many friends at all. That is why it is so unbelievable that he is doing what he is doing now. It would almost be like if a casting director or talent agent came to this BBS and picked out one poster to be their next big thing...and they didn't pick Jeff, heypartner, BGM, Doctor of Dunk, or anyone like that. They instead picked grummett (don't worry, if you don't understand that, I'll explain it to you later).
Not sure why you are so surprised, Manny. How many creative, successful people do you know today who were literally the king or queen of the prom, the star athlete, etc? Now, how many were the reject? Fact is, there are just as many if not more creative people who were absolute outcasts in high school (or, better yet, dropouts) than there are popular kids. How many of the drama kids or geeks or wierd musicians do you remember from your school? Yet, how many of them ended up becoming people like Tim Burton or Bill Gates or Billy Joel or Marilyn Manson or Kurt Cobain, etc. Creativity and uniqueness are not valued character traits when you are in high school, yet that is EXACTLY what casting directors and record industry exec's are looking for in the next big actor or band. High school success is rarely a determinant for success. People don't usually grow into their own until well after high school. The guy you went to school with probably wasn't discovered until he was out of college. That's where he got lucky and got a break. You think they asked him if he was popular in high school? This brings up an idea...
GEORGE CLOONEY SUCKS! He is ugly and cant act worth a crap. Tom Cruise is overrated. SJP and Sandra Bullock are annoying.
David Spade Kevin Bacon Woody Allen is hilarious. Back in the day, he was one of the funniest comedians around. Try downloading some of his comedy stuff from Kazaa, Grokster...whatever you have.
John Cusack - This guy does essentially the same wanna be witty comedy over and over. A grenade has more range than this guy. Julia Roberts - Tom Cruise's female counterpart.
