hi, i just want to say hello. I have been a rocket fan eversince 1993. How can one forget dramatic final with the Knicks that year? Or Olajuwon tearing the league apart during Jordonless era. (David Robinson and O'neal would testify to that ) One may I argue that I am bandwagoner since i only started to support Rockets after 1993. Nevertheless, i feel proud to be rocket fan despite such facts, as i am rare breed who supports Houston in the land where baseball and Jordon are people's no. 1 passion. (Tiger is getting the attention nowdays ). My favorite of moment of being a Rocket fan was when Sir Charles Barkely was about to kill Cat for shooting "dumb" J in 1999 play-off against Lakers. It may not be the most happy moment but i had to feel compassion for Sir Charles as the guy seemed to sense that his last chance of winning the rings he craved so much had gone. I have forgiven Mobley though, Speaking of forgiveness, I will never ever forgive Stockton for nailing the three in game 6 in 1998. Or Malone for screening, for that matter. I am still reeling from the pain, although Utah's recent decline is giving me such happiness . As for Mr. Ming, I wish best of luck to him. By holding his own against 'superior' black Americans, Yao has and will give give huge impeteus for the development of basketball in the region. Although, I am first to admit, asians does not possess athletic ability or the handling skills of black basketball players, i think we can add many qualities which seems to be forgotten in America such as enthusiasm, humility, good work ethic and willingness to work as a part of team. Some people may not like it, but i believe NBA can only benefit from its recent trend to go global. Not only, it will see increase in Revenues via TV money and mechandising but also increased quality in the long term as more kids will be involved in the sport. Of course, all this wont matter for me unless Rockets make the playoff this year. GOOOOOOO ROCkETS! P.S. This is great site clutch! I am throughly impressed by the neat layout and the many knowledgable members here. Jun
