What bands or musical artists do you intensely dislike?

My list basically begins and ends with Nickelback.

Toby Keith comes close as well.

Anyways, which musical acts irk you?

    creed

Gwen Stefani's Hubby's former band...oh I also think he sucks, probably moreso then the band....just remembered the name, Bush, and the chief crappy songwriter responsible for that eurotrash noise, Gavin Rossdale.

metallica (from black album to present) some kind of monster was the most pathetic/hilarious movie i have ever seen. what a bunch of whiney little scrotums!

van halen (post-diamond dave) they should have just broke up after fair warning, cause they werent going to top that one.

janes addiction (post ritual de lo habitual). eric avery was the heart and soul of that band - $hame on them for trying to do it without him. sounded like generic nu-metal/dude rock.

the doobie brothers - michael mcdonald era only. the early stuff was great. the captain and me is a great white-boy funk-soul record.

pfish, disco biscuts, string cheese incident. soul-less generic crap.
bunch of greatful dead wannabe's, except the dead had SOUL and could actually write good songs and sing them well.

Well, I dont call them bands. I think 'singing groups' is the more appropriated name. To me, the members of a band should play their own instruments.

No way. I'd put all the bands that are on the radio and sound the same, like Creed and Nickelback and all that junk.

    Nirvana
    Blink 182
    Smashmouth
    Smashing Pumpkings
    Pearl Jam
    Black Crowes
    Soundgarden

All these bands are so overrated. They suck so bad, I can't bear to listen to any of their crap anymore.

I know very few people out there agree with me but I don't care one bit. These bands suck.

Good Charlotte. Honestly, I hate them with all of my being. OH GOD, how I hate them.

Seriously, who is buying their records? I've never met anyone who likes them. Someone is buying them. Who? And the more important question is....why?

There are plenty of bands out there that aren't my cup of tea but I can see how other people could like them. That's just not the case with good charlotte. I truly have no idea how anyone could possibly like them. How are they pulling paychecks?

Does anyone here actually like them? Not trying to call you out, I'm just wondering.

    Most hated? Hmmm....

Without naming names, the most hated band would be the one that pulled the following when I played a show with them:

    1) Demanded that we switch playing times with them, claiming they thought they had our slot. Nevermind that the correct time was on the flyers we had given them 3 weeks earlier, as did the internet and newspaper listings. Oh yeah, and my band had set up the show, so you'd think they'd be grateful enough to accept their slot.

    2) Didn't show up to help load in equipment, even though they were borrowing my band's equipment and had also used my band's studio to rehearse the day before (they were from out of town).

    3) At the end of their set, they didn't thank my band for setting up the show or tell their crowd to stick around for the remaining bands (including mine)

    4) Left without helping to load out the equipment they had borrowed.

    5) Never thanked our band for setting up the show, lending our studio and lending the equipment.

So as much as I hate nu-metal, rap-rock, pop-punk and Creed, I don't hate any of these bands as much as I hate the one mentioned above.

There was a local band called "The Most Hated" around the mid 90's.

don't really have what you call hate for a band, but I do remember that in the early days of rap I really hated the beastie boys, because everybody was on their jock like they were the kings of rap. I always prefered run-dmc.

As far as no talent, I'd say the spice girls.
