I didn't start a poll because there were too many choices..............

    2008

Colts 31 Texans 27 - Rosencoptor. Texans have a 27-10 lead in the 4th in a possible franchise-changing game, then find a way to blow it. Colts score 21 points in 2 minutes.

Raiders 27 Texans 16 - Riding a 4-game winning streak and with a chance to guarantee the first non-losing record in franchise history, Texans lay an egg in Oakland. JaMarcus Russell throws for 2 TD's. JaMarcus Russell....

    2009

Jags 31 Texans 24 - Coming off an emotional win in Tennessee and with a chance to start the season 2-1, Chris Brown fumbles the ball on the goal-line. Jags recover. Game over. 1-2.

Cardinals 28 Texans 21 - Storming back from a 0-21 hole and with a chance to beat the defending NFC champs in their own backyard, Texans fail to score on a 1st and goal from the 5. Schaub throws a game-changing pick-6 in the 2nd half to kill the rally.

Colts 30 Texans 27 - With a chance to take the 7-0 Colts to OT, Kris Brown misses a 42-yard FG. Game over. Colts 17-game winning streak continues. 14-1 all-time against the Texans.

titans 20 Texans 17 - With the season on the line and playing on MNF, Kris Brown misses a 49-yard FG with 1 second left that would have sent the game to OT. Vince Young comes home and out-rushes the Texans 73-57. 5-7, season over.

    2010

Cowboys 27 Texans 13 - Texans are 2-0, Cowboys are 0-2. Largest crowd ever to attend a game at Reliant. With a chance to start the season 3-0 and at the same time stick the dagger into the heart of the hated Cowboys, the Texans lay an egg and take it up the ass (with no lubrication). Game wasn't as close as the final score.

Chargers 29 Texans 23 - With a chance to stop the annual mid-season losing streak before it even gets started, AJ kicks the ball to the defender for the INT that ends the possible game winning drive. Texans pass defense gets torched by a backup TE and practice squad WR. Annual mid-season losing streak officially under way.

Jags 31 Texans 24 - Quin bats the ball to Mike Thomas for the game-winning hail-mary TD. Texans basically gift wrap the division to the hated Jags. Annual mid-season losing streak at 3 games and counting.

Jets 30 Texans 27 - With a chance to finally stop the annual mid-season losing streak in grand fashion against the media darling Jets, the pass defense fails again. Texans finally get a break when Foster scores the go-ahead TD on a controversial call. Rackers puts Texans up 27-23 with less than a minute left and fans heading towards the exits. You know what happens next. Annual mid-season losing streak reaches 4 games.

Raven 34 Texans 28 - Texans storm back from a 7-28 hole to tie the game and send it to OT with 2 consecutive DOMINATING 90+ yard TD drives against the highly-touted Ravens D. They even convert the 2-point conversion. Defense forces a punt in OT to give it back to the red-hot offense. Pick-6. Game over. 5-8 with only a gimme-win against the hapless titans preventing them from being on a 7-game losing streak.

it's not gut-wrenching when you expect it.

After the Texans tied, my 10 year old and I sat on the couch and joked about all the possible ways they could lose it.

After the INT, he looked at me and said, "Eh...that seems about right. I'm going to bed."

You can only be disappointed when you expect something different....at this point, we expect them to find a new and creative way to lose each week.

Gotta go with the hail mary JAX lose, Think something like only 4 games have been won like that since the merger. :(

I'll say last night was the worst for me, while I expected the worst they had me believing for a split second. Maybe it's because it's still fresh in my mind but I was speechless after last night's game.

The Rosencopter game was just shocking but it was the Colts so you knew they had it in them.

Last night and the Jets' game were probably the two most difficult games for me to swallow. Two really nice sucker punches to the junk.

    Worst:
Jags 31 Texans 24 - Quin bats the ball to Mike Thomas for the game-winning hail-mary TD. Texans basically gift wrap the division to the hated Jags. Annual mid-season losing streak at 3 games and counting.

    - This was the end of the season for me. I held out some hope, but it's where I thought it was over. To be fair, not being able to stop a pedestrian Jacksonville defense was what lost the game, not the Hail Mary at the end.

    Notably Second-worst:
titans 20 Texans 17 - With the season on the line and playing on MNF, Kris Brown misses a 49-yard FG with 1 second left that would have sent the game to OT. Vince Young comes home and out-rushes the Texans 73-57. 5-7, season over.

-This hurt. To lose relevance to the season on a game with the Titans is adding insult to injury.

This. I'm just numb now. I expected the Texans to lose. I had turned the game off early, and I just laughed (again) when I found out that they had found yet another creative way to lose. I stopped believing in the Texans after that week 6 win against the Chiefs. They won, but that game made me lose all faith in their ability to get anything done this season. True to form, the losing streak started.

Until you are up 35-3 in the playoffs, nothing is really that bad.

Okay, but did you read my post? I'm not saying last night was it.

For me, I'd have to go with the MNF loss to the titans last year. I was depressed for the entire week afterwards - just like I used to be after a tough Oiler loss. That was the game that officially knocked me off the Kubiak bandwagon.

Sadly, it was also the last time I was really truly emotionally invested into a Texans game...

I hear ya...I meant at this point it's not gut wrenching because I expect it.

You're right..last year I didn't. So I'd probably pick out one of those games last year.

Luckily for me, the Texans pretty much killed their season with the hail-mary play against Jacksonville.

The rest of the season is just icing on top and watching the Kubiak apologists keep making excuses to have him here for another year is just

Rosencopter hands down. That was the first major meltdown we'd seen from this team, and we've become used to it now.

None of this year's losses are surprising. Before the colts MNF game, I said that was the most pivotal game of the season, and that was absolutely right. It was a winnable game had we just run the ball (the Colts were beaten up with injury that week) and we could have taken the division by the horns right there. After that, you saw the down-slide coming, even though they did find miraculous ways to lose each week.

Bad management, Astros and Texans speak for themselves. Rox are the ones who are F'd, but have the best management in place to make a move up.

Whoever makes the next "BOLD" move will own this town.

IMO the Texans were not favored to win any of these games.

You might want to include the Philly game, in these near misses. The Texans had the lead in the fourth quarter, on the road, against a very good defense.

Rosencopter still hurts to this day. Just the sheer stupidity of it. Against the freaking Colts. It hurts way more to blow a lead than to make a comeback and fall short I think.
