    Morey recently tweeted:

Daryl Morey:Congrats to coach on passing Jack Ramsey on the wins list and for half time tonight. We must have been at 0 of 12 game goals at the half.

Daryl Morey:Hit 9 of 12 game goals tonight. This never happens as our goals are set very high.Missed on off reb, getting to line, and an advanced measure.

I'm a huge fan of advanced metrics for basketball and sports in general, and even moreso for the Rockets. We've seen (at least initially) this season that Morey knows what he's doing, getting a good team together for Adelman to coach. I'm interested in finding out what these GAME GOALS are that he speaks of. Has anyone been tracking these who can tell me what they are? They appear to include: transition points, getting FTs, forcing turnovers, ast/fg, rebound differential both OFF and DEF, "finishing quarters", charges taken, "contesting shots", "deflections", "effective low post possessions", "ball movement", "an advanced measure." Some of these seem pretty self-explanatory but some are a bit more nebulous. Any ideas? Also, any knowledge of what constitutes "success" for each of these areas?

Are the game goals the same against every team? May not be.

That's a good point. Some teams may require us have better rebounding, while others need us to create more turnovers. This isn't clear from his tweets. He seems to talk most frequently about transition points, rebounding, and assists.

They are different. Why would you play the same every time?
