    Per his news conference.

Thought this deserved its own thread. He seemed to indicate the luxury tax didn't matter, they would be bringing back Scola and Lowry. Said both fit really well within their system and what they're trying to do.

Noiw we know Lowry is in our future, does this mean brooks could be expendable as another sell high player, like what we saw today with Landry. God we're gonna be good next year.

Awesome news. Now keep Battier and we are golden. Sorry to see Landry leave, but we did unbelievably well. Morey is the friggin wizard.

he also said that its a possibility that with this upcoming FA class, we might attempt a sign & trade

I think so, with Battier and Jeffries contracts expiring after last year Brooks seems like a logical trade attachment for someone big.

Why do people keep asking this about Brooks? It's like a bunch of people on the board want him gone. He's inexpensive and productive--an efficient high-volume scorer. There are two PG spots on this team and both can get significant minutes. Be happy with what we've got.

some folks arent convinced he is a good enough passer to keep...I normally hear that from people who think he wont be able to pass to Yao when he gets back.

Thanks Les. He's been spending big to make the Rockets a contender even if the injuries derailed it a bit.

Thank you, Brooks is here to stay whether anyone likes it or not. We wouldn't have gotten rid of Rafer to give Brooks the starting spot if we were just gonna trade him shortly after.

He did say that as well. Though he didnt make it seem like there's high likelihood.

He also gave praises to "Mr Alexander" for allowing them to spend, they're gonna be in the tax next year, etc...all that "predactory" stuff that took 5 years to finally happen. :)

Wasn't there a thread started about a week ago showing how the Rocket's spending on players was not as high as the contending teams. It's good to hear they are willing to spend some cash.

If the newly constructed team does well, there is a role for Luis and Shane. If it fails to make an impact, they should be traded for the best possible deal.
    Lowry must be re-signed.

AB will stay unlees we can get a real big name in the summer. AB has the biggest trade value besides Yao on Rockets now. If you want a real big star, AB would likely to be the importnat chip to get that done.

IF true this is making me sick. Scola is now going to be the starting PF and probably gets Landry's spot in the 4th next to Yao. :( This has been a bad 24hrs to be a Rockets fan.
