Now that we got MJ locked up, what other pieces do you think the rockets need to build a championship roster? I can only think of one more...trade sura's expiring contract for a legit PF.
sura for a PF doesn't clear up the logjam in the backcourt. my guess is that some combination of billy, head, snyder, shane, sura, and the #26 will be traded for a PF.
Come on Artest. Houston loves you baby. We desperatly need Artest's talent. I brought this entire rumor up the day after the big loss and I still think this is the only move the Rockets can afford to make and will make them champions.
Artest could play Small Forward, Tracy move to Shooting Guard with Mike James as his back up. Marcus Camby or Lamar Odum play the Power Forward. That leaves our need down to our new starting Playmaker Point Guard??? Battier, Sura, Head, 26th pick, Lucas, Snyder and V.Span possibly gone in trades?
Again, list some "Playmaker Point Guards" that you want some realistic deals/scenarios in which we could acquire them. Then we can talk. I swear if you do not respond with some answers this time and say the words "Playmaker Point Guard" in way, shape, or form again, I will proceed to tear you a new one and then put you on my ignore list. ummm what exactly gave u the idea that odum is coming to the rockets? LA is prob sending him and someone for J oneal. No rumors about odum to houston. I wouldnt trade battier for camby, period.

I love Hayes as most of us do, but also as most of us can see, he's better off as a back up. Lets throw everything we have at Portland for Randolph. I know he's prone to being a bit of a black hole, but this at least gives us a definite 3rd scorer. We were talking last season about how Mike J was the one we needed for that role. Now that we have him, and after seeing how he played in Minny, im sure most of us would admit doubts that he's going to be that much of an impact addition. Use the 26 pick aggressively one way or the other - trade up - or trade away as part of the package and go after Z-Bo. Just think it would be fascinating to see how we would look alongside Yao. Imposing frontcourt for certain
