http://www.thestar.com/sports/baske...gns-chris-bosh-is-leaving-toronto-this-summer I have a scary thought... is it possible for Bosh to become a Laker next season??? Please God no...
in the article, it says him being at the laker game. and its the freaking lakers... they can get whoever they want
Honestly I'm not that big on Bosh, never was. Saw him play at the Toybox a couple of times and wasn't the least bit impressed. Maybe the fact that he had soft Euro's around him had an effect on my opinion. Isn't this draft supposed to be filled with bigs with high potential? It's not confidential, they've got potential.
I don't think there was any doubt he was leaving Toronto since the end of their dismal season. Why would he want to stay in that dump?
Toronto is not a dump, it's a beautiful city. The problem of playing in Toronto is it's in country where hockey rules over basketball and not alot give a damn about the raptors.
I heard that Bosh is good friends with Josh Powell, so maybe he was just there to hang out with his bud.
as GR said it's not a dump. the collective sports franchises may play like dump, but the city itself it quite nice. maple leafs 74 points (worst in east) raptors 40-42 (just missed the playoffs) blue jays 17-13 (currently middle of the pack) toronto fc 6-6 (6th out of 8) the skyline (one of the best in the world)
The whole Bosh to the Lakers rumor had serious legs around the trade deadline and continues to have some validity to it. The proposed trade would have Bosh and Bynum as the principles. However, with the recent news of Bynum's torn meniscus adding to the growing list of injuries in Bynum's career, one could only imagine that this would quell some interest from Toronto's side. When I heard that Bynum was hurt again, I immediately thought that this was good news for the Rockets. We must not forget that, it is Bosh who has the most leverage in this situation. Toronto will try to attach Hedo's contract with any Bosh trade. But in the end, Bosh is an unrestricted free agent and can choose to sign anywhere. The only caveat will be how important that extra year and the approximately 30 million are to Bosh. If Bosh is dead set on receiving the full amount, it will have to be through sign & trade thereby increasing Toronto's say on where he goes.
