More proof polls a joke?

Now that that's out of the way, I'm not sure why I'd expect to have equal numbers Democrats and Republicans. Obviously, the complaint has some meat to it in that those numbers (if correct) don't seem to reflect the population at large. But, the margin doesn't matter. Could it have been that they counted likely voters only, and thereby disqualified Republicans or taken some similar filtering step that is not being reported on here?

 

Wasnt Kerry supposed to be hiding under rock right now since he cheated on his wife with a secretary or something??? Yeah Drudge is an honest journalist.

Well, this is certainly proof that SOMETHING is a joke.

Actually, the only polls I tend to trust come from Gallup or privately conducted polls for individual campaigns that are not publicized. These are done privately for campaigns and are brutally honest on purpose.

 

But is there a dispreportionate number people in those polls as well. I used to be called for Polls all the time until they asked me whether I was a Democrat, Republican or Moderate and I told them I was a Republican and they NEVER called me back.


I wonder why that is?

 

What if there are just more Astros fans than there are Cubs fans? It isn't mandated that we have a like number of Republicans and Democrats in the country; why should it be that way with a poll?

 

I am an egghead liberal democrat, and I have never been called for a poll. That's fishy, isn't it?

The extent to which people don't want to hear things that disagree with them is simply amazing. It's really disturbing how obsessed we all are with spin instead of facts.

Again, the only poll that counts is the one in November, and that one only really counts if we're lucky and the results are beyond experimental uncertainties and the whim of the supreme court.

More on Drudge, he's got a picture of Teresa Heinz now with a picture of Tootsie next to her. Is this news? This guy is such a shill it's not even funny. It's just like when Limbaugh compared Chelsea to a dog, what kind of ******* goes after a candidate's family?


I'd also like to add that I don't trust the LA times poll either, but I trust Drudge even less.

I agree and I don't believe I said that anyone who is an egghead Liberal democrat were polled. Not everyone gets called for a poll. I was for a 2 year period but it abruptly stopped after the incident described previously. I never meant to imply that all people polled were Democrat nor all people not polled were Republican.

I was merely stating a situation that I experienced.

If , in fact , some polling people are skewing the number of people from either side when taking a poll then the results becomes useless.

You are correct the only poll that matters is the one in November.
