I guess now we know why he was waiting around...it was a 6 year deal. Weren't people here speculating it was $12mm over 4 years?
Even despite my best efforts to artificially inflate my post count with the dreaded "Look at me" Double Post? This reeks of conspiracy.
Mooch's deal is worth 22.73 million over 6 years. Decent contract, but not as cheap as some others CD has gotten. Still, it's great to have Mooch back. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/bk/bkn/1081324
Man this is more Moochie then you can shake a stick at! And roughly 3.5 to 4 million per year is a tad bit high, but the contract is way to long for a backup PG. There better be a team option in the 3rd or 4th year!
It comes out to about $2.887 mill the first year (assuming there are no signing bonus's in it), which isn't bad for what Moochie brings to the team. I like the trend that the Rockets have been showing of signing their key players to 6 year contracts. This shows a committment to keeping the core players together for a long time & creates stability in the rotation. Way to go Rockets.
Well the price per year isn't bad then! The length worries me a bit, but Mooch is in, so lets get Jackson in and get to the playoffs!
lot of years for a back-up. is this final or speculation? i don't moochie will get nearly as many minutes this year. I don't think Rudy will be so quick to go to those bs lineups since he has a legit 3 now
As much as I like Moochie, I think I would've rather seen what a much cheaper Damon Jones could've done this season. Does Norris' signing basically mean Jones is cut or on IR? Or is there still a spot for the guy on our squad?
If they don't put him on IR, I wouldn't be surprised to see them trade him for a future pick, after his trade restriction ends.
maybe francis can get injured and things'll work out with norris and jones. norris strat, jones backup.
