Is Charlie Ward staying or going?
    Added: 3rd October, 2001

Since Mark Jackson, Howard Eisley, and Ward can't all play point guard for the Knicks, it appears Ward would be the first to go. Reports suggest Ward could be in Golden State or Utah by the end of the week. On Monday, Ward sounded resigned to the fact he was gone. "New York, I've had a great time here. If it's the Lord's will for me to be here, I'll be here. If not, then I won't." A Golden State source said the report that the Warriors would give up Erick Dampier or Adonal Foyle for Ward was not true.

 I don't see them signing Marc Jackson with Dampier and Foyle healthy and on the payroll. If they do, they do have a major problem. He stated that he didn't want to play for them, and can't trade for 90 days then it he have to give the consent. Everyone need to chill out and wait. The Rockets will get him, they might make us sweat a little, but it's OK.

Houston we have liftoff !!!!!!!!!!! PLayoff Bound!!!!!!!!!

Since Scott Layden got to town, he's been trying to get Eisley and trade Ward. He would probably take a pack of wrigley's spearmint, 2 1978 Woodie Fryman baseball cards, a pocket slingshot and a used rubber for him at this point...

According to WFAN in NY , the Knicks don't have anything on the table right now. Then again, they said the same thing right before they landed Sprewell...

Ward would be a good fit in Utah. Just like Jackson would be a good fit in Houston.

    Its synergy, baby.

Well, they got Eisley already so if they were to unload C Ward, I doubt it would be to Utah...and it certainly wouldn't be for a PG

Utah doesn't have Eisley. I forgot where he was traded to. I know that he played with Dallas last year but I thought they traded him.

After reviewing their cap space, they would be silly to sign Marc Jackson. Dampier is tied up for5 yrs.Foyle for3 yrs. Why would you sign another big man to a long contract. The best thing the Rockets done was to sign him to a 6 yr. offer sheet. Their cap space don't look that greatin the comming years.

They sign him and keep him while trading Foyle for someone else they can dump or trade off too, Ward for 1st rounder or something of the sort. Maybe they are trying to get Ward and then move him to us for Williams?
