http://www.boston.com/dailyglobe2/170/sports/These_are_bullish_times_for_the_dominant_O_Neal+.shtml (All the way at the bottom)

Big center Brad Millard of St. Mary's almost lapped the field at the Chicago predraft camp in one area: weight. He checked in at 360 pounds, some 70-plus more than the next two big guys, Mario Bland (who is 6-5, but checked in at 287) and Greek big man Iakovos Tsakalidis, who tipped the scales at 283. DeMarr Johnson, meanwhile, who is on the Celtics' wish list, weighed only 201 (he's 6-9), but Jerome Moiso checked in at 7 feet, 232 pounds. Fears that Marcus Fizer might measure small proved unfounded; the Iowa State bull is 6-9 in sneakers.

Im glad Fizer measured that tall. While it would be great for him to slip down all the way to 9, I was starting to feel sorry for the guy cause I really think he can ball. Now should still be top 3 or top 5 at least.

A little worried about DJ's lack of weight, but he should put on a few pounds.

I think those height measurements are basically going to lock Fizer into the top 3 picks. I liked his basketball skills but felt he was just too short to play PF. It is going to be tough for the Clippers to pass him now. Also, the weight measurement for Tskalidis is refreshing. At 7-2 283, he's a monster. I think this may push the Cavs to take him. That would leave some tantalizing choices on the board for the Rockets, a 7-0 Jerome Moiso or 6-9 DerMarr Johnson. Its going to be a tough decision. Also, I agree, DerMarr needs to bulk up about 20 pounds, and the same goes for Moiso. If Moiso was 252 and developed his low post game further, he could really become a load. Same thing for Johnson, if he is 220, and he can add a good post up game, he could become really really nasty also.

Thanx NIKEStrad, If Moiso is really 7'0 , then lets take another look at him.

Fizer can be as tall as he wants , but he is and always will be Kenyon Martins b****. [IMG]

    Francis3,

Fizer has never been Kmart's b****.

I think he never will be Kmart's b****.

Fizer is probably the favorite for rookie of the year because he has faced tougher competition which will help the adjustment to the NBA.

Fizer may eventually be Kenyon's b****, but not this year. I think Fizer will be the leading candidate for rookie of the year, simply because of his offense. His offense at this stage is much more advanced than Kenyon's or Swift's, and as a result Fizer should put up better numbers in his rookie year. Later on in the year Kenyon may eclipse Fizer as he learns more of the NBA game, but not right at first. Fizer is simply more prepared for the NBA game.

Kenyon will probably have a tough time at the beginning because of the injury. But once he gets use to the nba, he will be the man. Fizer just sometimes is weird to me , **** FIZER! ALL YOU FIZER LOVERS NEED TO GO TO HELL!! [IMG]

Kenyon Martin for ROOKIE OF THE YEAR.

LOL. I like Kenyon though, a lot more than Fizer in terms of overall potential. There's no question who I'd rather have- I just think Fizer is more prepared for his rookie year. Now, 5 years down the road, I don't even think it will be close comparing the two. Kenyon big time.

    no problem.

Fizer, Martin, and Alexander are the leading ROY candidates IMO.

I wouldn't believe anything you hear this close to the draft.

Now is when the better, more experienced GM's and VPs of Basketball Operations will try and dupe their weaker brethren in order to inflence their selection.

As usual, you come through with a most eloquent rejoinder.

Moe, we have too many fizer fans here. They think he is the big boy of the draft but he isnt. Its all about Kenyon Martin, just wait till they meet together, Kenyon will put another ass whipping on him.

    Francis3,
I know how you feel about Martin. I read this bbs awhile before I started posting. I guess I feel like I know you and if I know you, I can kid you a little.

Francis3-But wait till he meets in 3 years with Stromile Swift (at the point in time where the Grizzlies management gives him to us, hehe).
