Even if she is unable to remain stateside upon Spanoulis' arrival, she plans to share what she has learned about Houston. "I heard (about Spanoulis' signing) today, so I am very, very, very excited for him," Kostaki said. "He is a good player. I like his style. He is very aggressive, a good defender (and) a shooting machine. (He is a) leader, (a) star. This is what he is doing in Greece. "If I am here, I would like to be here the first month for him because I think I can help. Now I know (Houston), and I can introduce him to the (Greek) people I have met. He would be fine, because the Greek people in Houston and so good and friendly." Kostaki and Spanoulis aren't close friends, but they have crossed paths before while participating for their respective national teams. Kostaki had a difficult time making the adjustment to Houston before Comets forward Sheryl Swoopes introduced her to several prominent Greek business owners. Since then, Kostaki has settled comfortably into the local scene, and she aspires to make Spanoulis' transition easier come September. "If I am in Greece (when Spanoulis is with the national team), maybe I will see him somewhere," Kostaki said. She's pretty good. How old is she, and how tall is she? They'd make nice children whom the Rockets should start scouting along with Yao's kids. That would be sweet if V-Span and Yao get married to their women, and the women play for the Comets and men for the Rockets, and their children go to the same school.
I can introduce them to the Pappas family. I gave a few members of the family a heads up about VSpan last year. THey'd never heard of him or Panathinaikos team, but I'm sure they'd love to meet him.
