Yeah I really shouldnt have bought it, but today I broke down and bought a brand spankin' new Takamine EG530SC Acoustic/Electric guitar.

I have been playing a buddy of mines old piece of crap Gibson, (believe it or not Gibson did make a few crappy acoustic guitars in their time) and I figured since my checking account is overdrawn $200 I might as well max out some credit cards to make myself feel better.

Surely this was a good purchase, maybe not now, but long term happiness is a good thing.

Unfortunately, I had to trade in my first ever bass guitar.... Washburn XB-200. I loved it to death, but alas I bought an Fender American J Bass about 2 years ago to replace her and havent picked it up in a long long time.....

Its late and Im rambling...... :p

Have you given thought to being a street performer as a part time occupation?

I mean, people won't need a penny, if they want to hang around, but if they've got a nickel, I'm sure they'll lay their money down.

I actually thought of doing that on 6th street in Austin on a Saturday night to see if I could pick up some extra cash..........

.......... Then I had a nightmare that some UT frat fu@k puked all over my guitar while yelling:"PLAY SOME SKYNYRD!!!!!!!"

I'd suggest playing down on the corner, out in the street to avoid that puke.

Be sure to tell people to bring their nickle, tap their feet.

Also, if you are going to play, do it early in the evening, just around suppertime. Over at the courthouse they're starting to unwind.

Exactly, use your purchase to make money or to invest. Then it's ok.
