Yea, a teacher with 28 years of experience, underpaid, dares to take the kids to a museum, and there one of the student’s sees, probably some boobs, and the teacher gets suspended.

Does the Taliban run that part of Texas?

art education is woeful in this country. the woman tries and gets fired, it is so absurd that i can't believe it really happened. kinda makes me wanna blow something up.

 

The teacher should be rewarded. If the parents want to keep their daughter uneducated and ignorant there isn't much we could do about that. The teacher should not be punished for helping the other students.

 

Honestly, this is what I can't stand about Texas....not that there are idiots that don't get art, but that people tolerate these idiots and let them control the decision making process.

Now you have the TV station blacking out the boobs on pieces of Art? And the school gets away with suspending the teacher?

In other parts of the world, this kind of reaction would actually be all over the place - provoking protests and hundreds upon hundreds of letters. The outrage would be immense. But not in Texas. Like I said, this is a stain and I'm sadden that Texans don't reaction more strongly.
