Boo hoo hoo Dan Gilbert. This guy is an owner? Geez. It's his organizations fault anyways. Give me LBJ and I'll win him a ring in less than the 7 years the Cavs had him for, guaranteed. I've been at this fantasy basketball thing for a while know, I know my stuff.

If he keeps this up, dan gilbert might actually be the only thing from keeping Lebron's image from taking a bigger hit...

    dude is just bitter.

if he quit 2 years ago and averaged 35, 8, 8? GTFO dan gilbert.

if he quit last year and put up 29, 8, 8, GTFO. you're nto going to get another player who can do what lebron does.

enjoy sucking next year. lebron did spoil you and you're hating on him? nobody is going to play for cleveland the way he trashed the most dominat player in the L like that.

no star free agent is going to want to play in cleveland.

It's been posted a few times.

Clearly Gilbert's scorn is being spread.

They'll be able to attract some players who just want to win a championship and will take league min. salary to make it happen (raise their stock while they are at it). Any veteran player that has something left will want to go there to win one before retirement. This really sucks for the rest of the NBA.

Honestly. They were complacent. They didn't do anything to make the team better. LeBron has right to be upset.

I remember thinking the same thing when I was watching that series. I was telling my brother "LeBron is losing on purpose to dis-endear himself to Cleveland."

complacent? They screwed up their immediate future by trying to acquire talent for him....the talent didnt work out, but they tried with what they had.

he's refering to specific games...it's pretty clear he did quit, anyone with eyes could clearly see the difference in his game. The owner's point it that he's never seend a supertar/leader throw in the towel like that...i have to agree, it was pathetic. you go down swinging regardless of the score.

I'm surprised there are still people supporting Lebron James on this.

This isn't anything like being traded away. This is a ONE HOUR NATIONAL TV announcement to the whole world.

I'm pretty sure most people here would literally burn McGrady alive if he ever pulled a stunt like that. Heck, if Yao did this, it would go down as the biggest betrayal of all time.

The majority of the public seems to find the press conference, distasteful and even insulting, which i have admit to escapes me. I must be missing something, but personally, whether it was a press conference or a fax, the end result would have been the same, and the only difference was the medium. Yes the conference was a created media event, a publicity event, an event all about Lebron, but it WAS all those things because the public wanted it. There was more interest and attention paid to this, than arguably any nongame even since jordans return (the first one). And by having the conference Lebron not only revealed his decision, but also answered all the questions surronding it.... Personally i'd much rather have him answered those question than only just sent in a fax/text of where he was signing.

Again, i must be missing something because instead of finding the conference offensive, i thought it was enlightening, informative though ultimately disappointing... (I wasn't rooting for Miami)
