On two occasions my wife wasn't charged for items she was purchasing. She honestly didn't notice the mistake until she was in the car. One store missed $50 and the other $27. She is wondering what she should have done.
If it was a small mom and pop store, she should have gone back. If it was a massive corporate store, then **** them.
uh, yeah, that was was her posting. It was Lowe's and Home Depot. You guys know I would not think twice about going back. But twice in one day was weird karma.
It works both ways because quite often stores will make mistakes in their favor that go unnoticed. When getting groceries checked out, I am sure to watch the prices like a hawk. I would estimate that I catch a mistake about 25% of the time.
First, the items were not stolen. I am not award of insurance paying for day to day inventory loss, whether its stolen, damaged or inventoried incorrectly. I have no problem with someone who feels they do not need to return to the store to correct the error. Vast majority of people won't, especially once they arrived home. Im not going to waste my time or fuel to correct their error, and if its a few bucks in my favor, I still wouldn't return. I think its a bit low to justify ripping off a big chain simply because "they are rich and greedy". Should we award medals to those who rob the rich and greedy?
